My grandparents took me and my little sister to her first comp and I was helping her judge for the first time, she was doing great and all, but then my grandma came up to us and started talking to the girl who was solving, in the middle of her solve... I felt so embaressad and told my grandma to be quiet (with respect ofcourse, always respect older people, even when they screw up your solve) and luckily she understood and quickly went to the side to talk later and apologized a lot to the girl.
I was at 2x2, a mom was criticizing her kid being like “you need to go faster “ And when I judged a mom of a little kid when I said 8 was like “go!” And somehow he got like an 8. I told the mom she can’t do that she’s like “I don’t want him to be late” -Branchburg 2019 lmaooo

He didn’t call out inspection until 15 seconds for an entire heat of one handed. Since there were a decent amount of first timers at that comp, he would just say 12 seconds and wait for them to go over inspection without saying anything, happily DNFing them after. During my one of 4x4 solves, I dropped the cube with one turn away, realized my mistake and then fixed the turn before stopping the timer. This judge said that it was a DNF and argued with Michael Young about it. He stopped a kid during his 4x4 solve at 1:30 (which was the soft cut-off at this comp) and said it was a DNF because he went over the time limit. Because of him, that comp had an insane amount of E1s and E2s.

At Rocky Top 2018, there was also a soccer tournament at the venue, l was doing a 4x4 solve and a soccer player guy judged me and he said 12 and 15 seconds even though I started and he screamed during my solve "YO YOUR A PRO VLOGGER" because he saw my camera lol
I had a judge that tried to give me a plus 2 for going over 45 seconds. Not sure if he mixed up seconds and degrees or if it was because the cutoff was 45 seconds but either way it's definitely not the right thing to do
