Brilliant blog Ian. Getting wins like that is how Champions do it not at our best but grinding out 3 points. Always Great to be a Blue 💙
Think your last interviewee hit it on the head - we need to improve. As he said, City will not win the PL if we carry on like this. What worries me is that we keep getting caught out defensively - Ipswich, West Ham (yes I know it was an og), Brentford, Fulham and today Wolves. Also, each of those goals came from attacks down the opposition’s right.
Brilliant vlog Ian as usual. Absolute pandemonium in the away end when that goal went in. I agree with the chap at the end, we can’t win the league playing like that. We need to tighten up at the back, we’re conceding goals far too easily and we won’t keep getting away with it. Wolves were really solid and organised and are far better than their position suggests. We’re missing Rodri big time, too many of our players aren’t at their best atm, but all in all, a win is a win, 3 points and another game gone, but we must improve in the coming games.
Important 3 points, always difficult after an international break. Great vlog Ian!
Especially against those Wolves they always make it difficult for City.
Johnny, Johnny Stones! 🎶
LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! JONNNNY JONNY STONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our traveling fans are always amazing!!!!
Rico Lewis the headless chicken 😂
Ian, you summed it up very well in the first piece to camera. It's very strange and very amazing being a city fan, I too alongside you and many others remember time's gone by when we weren't as successful as we are these days. But given the choice of having this or not, I think we're all on the same page!
Great vlog Ian. Lad at the end, spot on. 'Papering over the cracks'.
a wins a win Cheesy
We didn’t play well, but there’s something about the team spirit this season Around City that we find a way even when we’re not playing well
Love it Ian, a well deserved 3 points that. We are still getting warmed up and we have to focus on Saturday and get the ball to Erling faster. It's great to be a blue!!
We appreciate you too Cheesy. Thank you so much for being so consistent
I try
Thanks
Not at our best after another International break but - we take the points against a determined Wolves team . MCFC
It was a typical pre Xmas City performance but we got the job done. Let's keep ticking over and try to get a few players sharper and fitter then we can move on. Great vlog Cheesy 👍💙
Brilliant work as always ian wishing you and your all the best from a dublin blue since 1981 mate
Good to see the Women's and Men's teams both win after going behind.
Not at the races today, but that's why we're CHAMPIONS , ,that's 1 of the hateful 8 done 7 to go
Great vlog cheesy! Would be nice if you could interview Brian Clarke if he’s still around grew up listening to his city commentaries before you! Also how about talking to Willie Donachie sure he’s got some great stories! Keep up the good work!
It's always like this for us we only get going in the new year but how long can we maintain this it's so stressful
Good vlog as always🩵😃
cant let a last minute winner blind us from the fact we have been shocking recently, i trust us to turn up in the later stages but i feel we could be much better right now
nicky weaver looking in fine form
Hi Ian, We deserved the three points today, We were camped in their half most of the game.
We were patient with our play and it paid off in the end !
Thought Savinho was great today as was everyone to be fair Ian.
A good all round performance
Haaland didn't score, but he tried today and that's good enough for me.
Keep going Blues !!! Blue Moon Banana Army 💙🍌
Johnny Johnny Stones!
Your great ian city fans were great
Thank you Cheese!
That would be draining for the wolves' defence.
I hate international breaks. I hate VAR. I hate Man United and I hate Arsenal. Come on City 💪
You hate VAR 😂😂😂😂 you would be fucked without Stockley park , citeh are half the team without rhodri and everybody else knows it
Stone me what a header ctid 😮
Great win
Thing is, as regards your video it's also about facilities expansion. Jim Ratcliffe is a threat, wanting to expand their stadium to 100k. City can't afford to be complacent.
City need a stadium appropriate to their stars but also to the 1894 Group who do so much with their own money.
Keep building 👷🚧🚧👷.
Bloody Hell Nicky Weaver looks older than me lol
Johnny Johnny stones 💙
The 80s, getting dropped off from the fingland coaches and Helen fighting the wolves fans off whilst we was getting chased around the ground before the gates opened 😯
cant believe how all the uk football teams despise us..we won that game fair and square but there all looking for ways to bring us down,,,lol...tough were here to stay
Have commented on other MCFC sites, but will add same here. City are poor, really poor. We are hopeless in defence, and clueless in attack. Again, it takes our defenders to score goals and bale us out yet again. Sorry if l sound negative, Ian, but, hand on heart, we played, and scored, much better when we had Aguero, David Silva, along with Kompany, Zabaleta, even Dzeko, than this current squad. Doku, even Lewis, young as he is, are pale successors to our other players of recent seasons.
City supporter since 1949-50 season. Come back Joe Hayes and Johnny Williamson: all is forgiven.😂
Boring.
Sideways and backwards passing for basically 90 mins.
Get to the edge of their penalty area and then just pass the ball along it?
Doku useless.
Rico Lewis caught out again.
Gundogan not the same player anymore.
Didn't understand taking both wide players off and putting 2 midfield players in their place while Nunes is sat on the bench.
Haaland never broke sweat, he just didn't seem interested to me.
Agree with everything you said.
❤❤❤
I’m live 😂😂😂
We were lucky today, papered over the cracks again
What are the fans going on about we’ve been poor for ages, got lucky again wont keep happining top 4 at best
In live
Give Nunes a chance, drop Doku.
City are just scraping these wins and sooner or later their luck will run out.
Rico Lewis imo isn't good enough.
Gundogan too slow now.
Haaland didn't seem interested.
It's becoming very predictable like the substitutions.
Can't pep see beyond just swapping the wide players?
🔥🔥🔥🩵🩵🩵
Rico is not a good defender.
Bernado Silva didn't obstruct the keeper, or get in his way when Stones scored. So it was a goal.
A win is a win but yet another poor performance. Too predictable and completely forgotten how to defend. We won’t win the league if we carry on playing like this, something has to change, the look of frustration on Haaland’s face at the lack of opportunities was palpable, how about throwing a ball over the top for him to run onto now and again? And tippy tappy two yard free kicks, what’s the point? Otherwise everything hunky dory 😁
City concede from the first attack again, it's happened so many times in recent games and Rico needs to remember first and foremost that he's a defender, he was caught out for the goal again. He's only young and will learn, but I don't share the confidence that Pep has in him. As for our fans that are saying we aren't gonna win the league playing like that they're not mentioning that we have our two best, most influential players out in KDB and Rodri and that would affect any team in the world. I'm not sure why Pep isn't starting Phil from the start? We are lacking incisiveness in the last third and Phil often brings that and together with his pace we would create more chances for Erling. I'm also worried about what effect Pep's non-committal about his contract is affecting the players and it would help if that was finally confirmed if he was staying or leaving. Anyway excellent vlog as usual Cheesy and isn't it great to get a last gasp winner? Stirring stuff for us fans. Onward and upward Blues 🩵⚽🏆
We got the 3 points despite not reaching 3rd and 4th gear.
We normally engage cruise control in February to May so nothing to worry about at present.....
JohnnyJohnnyStones late winner was the perfect ending to a typical tough game at Molineux 🩵⚽️👌💯
