Excellent scenery and figs! Love the event cards although some seem very deadly. In our nam games we make all troops vets to offset the volume of fire.
Americans tended to leave mortars behind at a fire base. Your grunts would usually have accurate and responsive artillery fire but that can be tough on game balance. To say nothing about close air. In any case great game, love the fair play, and search for innovation!
Enjoyable game to watch ! Really like the way you guys discuss the variations on the rules You are using .. That's the right way to play wargames ... Great table too, hopefully there will be other games like this 😊
Great fun. How do you think the rules played? Are you going to make any more additions to the rules? Or are you going to look for another set of rules specific to the period? Who is the maker of the helicopter.
I think the helicopter rule on 1 hit that it moves away is a bit unrealistic…I think a minimum of 3 hits then it would move back as these guys in the real world took a lot action! Really good play through and looking forward to playing this at the club soon
Great report. John is such a gentlemanly player, which is nice to watch, but he cuts you way too much slack (ha ha). Just a thought, and I know it was your first game with these, but historically the US forces would be calling for casevac, especially with the casualties they took in this game, and that could really log jam the Yanks in a game, as they protect casualties and arrange safe LZ's for dustoff's and evacs. Might be something you could factor in. I think it would mitigate some of the US firepower, and put pressure on US leaders. Medics could be added as a HQ element.

The event cards are a great addition.
They do make a difference, not sure if I have the balance quite right but it's a work in progress 👍

Thanks Tim. John is a great opponent and certainly gets his share of bad luck when it comes to dice rolling!
Brilliant. Where are the figures from?
Empress miniatures and Gringos 40👍
@@vonketteringham Thanks man
What rule set are you using for this game VC on the trail or earth colored red? Obviously you are adding some modification to them.
We are using Bolt action with our own house rules 👍
is there anyway to get a copy of the rules?
Where did you get the models from???
Mainly Gringos 40 and some Empress miniatures.
Was that an attempt at American accent? Well it was better than Malcolm McDowell's on average
One concurs 🙂
