  • This is Track #6 from the 1980 Randy Stonehill album "The Sky Is Falling"
Listen to the whole album here - • Randy Stonehill - The ...
Though recorded in 1977 Larry didn't get around to releasing this album until 1980. This album marks the end of the relationship between Randy and Larry as they went their separate ways. It's never been confirmed but I think we can pretty well assume the friendship ended because Larry was seeing Randy's wife behind his back. Again I'm not saying that was the reason but I think it's a safe assumption. The album has a couple stand out tracks, "The Great American Cure" is one of Larry's great comedy tunes and my favourite track is "Trouble Coming", a great Rock & Roll tune. Tom Howard is all over the album on keyboards and you can hear his great work very clear. Point of trivia on this album is that side 2 was pressed with a printing/spelling error. The track Counterfeit was printed as Conterfeit on both the jacket and the label.

In an effort to post your requests we have been paying for albums out of our own pockets both physical and digital but the costs have become a bit prohibitive. If can help us out by participating in a little crowd funding you can get some special perks.

This song can't be more to the point.. Such truths in each word describe the dangers of this fallen king n, his lie-n kingdom...

Never heard this one. Surprised to find myself repeatedly reminded of both Eagles and Dan Fogelberg...

Mr. Tournay; yes, the Eagles and Dan remind me of Randy. I have sponsored 8 of his concerts; to me, along with John Fogerty, the most authentic mind and voice of the 60s/70s still performing and writing.

I'm a little ignert about "classical" music. Can anyone tell me if the beginning of this song is partially borrowed from classical piano or if it is completely original to this piece? Thanks.

Perhaps you could play it to one of those music apps that names tunes as see what it says. Or write to Randy Stonehill and ask him.

original and pretty sure it's Tom Howard; this is his style and he studied music.

@@Footmanpublishing late response here, but, thanks, I believe you are right. It sounds a lot like his maranatha instrumentals.
