PUTO KAMOTENG KAHOY | Traditional way of making Putong Kamoteng Kahoy with Bukayo Filling

Hello Friends good day. I hope you all doing well.
In this video, I was taking some wild flowers just in our area.
And the next day we made some Putong Balinghoy or Cassava.
Back on we were young, my parents used to sell Putong Kamoteng Kahoy in town. My mother is very good in making at it.
So today, I be showing you on how to make it even without steamer.

Traditional uses of
Roots
Poultice applied on wounds
Starch applied to children's skin rashes
Eaten to cure Ulcer.
Bark
Decoction used for joints pains
Decoction taken to expel intestinal worms
Leaves
Poultice applied for fever and headache
Research Findings
The bitter variety , of which starch is obtained, contains cyanogenetic glucosides and is poisonous if not cooked well.
Food values
Leaves and tuber have anti- cancer component called laetrile. Tuber is staple in some areas. It is mostly starch.
The young leaves are eaten as vegetables and are a good source of vitamin A and C.
Recommended Medicinal Use
For itchiness: Prepare a paste from cassava starch and apply on affected areas.

Paboritong paborito ko eto sa aking kabataan. Ang sarap na meryenda when my Mom or Lola cooks it. Kahit na from the street vendors. Labi na gyud ug init pa and fresh ang bukayo with brown sugar either sa ilalim ng puto or inside. I will try to cook this ds weekend.😋😋 Kaya lang ang mga cassava dito iba talaga compared to organic and fresh from the farm. But puwede na rin.😊
