My grandfather, Bro. Cook of Olive Branch, MS went preaching the Gospel for the past 25 years with Bro Johnson. They was best friends. He worked with Bro Johnson for 30 years in the Memphis area until Bro Johnson passed on about a year ago . A Matter of fact, "pops" was with Bro Johnson when he wrote this song. This is the best version of this song I have ever heard. I cry and feel something when I hear this. When I hear the stolen version from gospel artist who sing I won’t complain I feel zero nothing. Because it’s been hijacked.

I miss my pastor so very much!! Growing up with having such a great man of God as my pastor I was so blessed! The greatest memories of my life are my younger years growing up in a small church on Gray Rd in Memphis and having the influence such a great man at a Brother Don and also brother Charles!

God was certainly so good to me to cause our paths to cross at a very critical time of my young life, I was 19 years old. They knew exactly what I needed and they were there for me to the end of their journey on earth! God had now been so good to reconnect me and my husband to their youngest son, Charles Johnson and his wife, Renee.

The female artist in this video is Arwen Fonzen...and yes, she is AMAZING not only as a vocalist but the person is pretty amazing as well. FLR Phoenix. Amy Spires-Hutchenson...I think that this version fits inside my ears a LOT better than the older version by Rev. Johnson. It's all a matter of taste. I think the arrangement and the soulfulness of this version is what makes me listen to this song over and over again. It has made it to every one of my Christian Music mixes and I share this link with as many people I have access to.
