It was pretty underground and only heard in the clubs. Unless you bought the record and put on your mix tapes. It didn’t get much AirPlay on the radio , unless it was on a dj mix show. Back when you had the best music on your mix tapes and when ppl. heard it, they were like whoa what is that bro?! Lol!
Great song from the past! Wasn’t this don’t by information society? Anyway this and information society came out of nowhere and hit big in the clubs. Where are they from bc it’s considered freestyle but they seem very different from the freestyle from NYC.
Yup this was an official Tommy Boy release... sometimes they were the wider distributor for small regional labels like Scarface / TNT / or in this case Hack Attack. However, this is the earliest case where a sublabel was given the spotlight position.
I had all the records of Information Society and Think Tank and it was on Tommy Boy and it’s the actual record label. Reminds me of when I had a garage sale and selling a Tommy Boy back pack. I said it’s a famous Hip Hop label and she kept saying I never heard of it and saying it’s Tommy Hilfiger (sp). You should do some research before sounding so definite and learn.
What a beautiful noise all! Takes me back to Shelley's and eclipse Coventry 89/90. Good Times had by all!
my mate Huggy was probably the DJ! :)
Was that around the time of the Wag club in London? If you’re talking about London?
Been looking for this track for years, just remembered the sample ... & here we are !

If you look at the other postings of this song, it also use the Tommy Boy label. So is everyone knocking off the label?! Not!
