Will his job be at risk? Not at all. Whether it should be is a different matter, because it probably should be, but the reality is, it won't be. Arsenal are on the same amount of pts at this stage, as they were last season, but the difference is the performances. I've genuinely been more excited watching my nan play monopoly with her mates in the care home than watching Arsenal play at the moment. They need at least 1 attacking signing, even if it's a loan, to just freshen things up a bit.
Arsenal fans really underestimate playing without our best players. Man City without Rodri have been cooked. Liverpool had a 12 point swing with Arsenal last season after salah was injured at AFCON. They finished 5th in ‘23 and 3rd on 69 points in ‘21 all through injuries to their best players. You may think Arteta may not be good enough this season, but you can’t just escape context because you’re unhappy with our performances.
@All3cannons Everything you've said is fair, but what I do blame Arteta for, is the fact that with the money he has been given, why has he neglected the attack so badly, that when we lose an ødegaard, or a saka, who yes, can't be replaced like for like because of the level they perform at at their best, but could have brought in players to do a sufficient job filling in, we look so much worse. His refusal to get in a backup rw, and then loan out Nelson, has definitely played a part in the saka injury, as he has been relied on far too heavily.

People always think just having serviceable players changes your fate, it doesn’t. Man City tried with kovacic, nunes none of the can stop city from being below par. I think it’s easy to blame everything on Arteta but the real answer is going to be a number of factors why we are below where we wanted to be at the moment. And a major part is losing key players.
