⇢ Welcome to our UA-cam channel. We are Leigh and Nick, a married couple from the UK (Technically we are civil partner shipped but hey it's close enough)
Due to a health scare in 2017, we decided to start enjoying life more outside our business. We bought a Lodge on the east coast of England and started vlogging our daily adventures
Join us as we explore the UK, Florida, Disney and further afield aswell as spending time at the Lodge on our own, with family and with our friends

My mum loved the time she spent in Spring Hill Hospice.The food was amazing and the care top notch.She was upset when they discharged her..Hope Gail was able to get her pain under control.You both are so family oriented and caring,it’s nice to see.I’m sure they all appreciate all that you both do.
Nick and Leigh i think its so nice the way your looking after your mum glad shes getting the right treatment, then she can spend christmas with her famliy🤩.

I work in a children’s hospice, which is a great place to work, sometimes it’s very sad, but a majority of the time it’s very rewarding, The hospice your mum is at will have the same ethos, will do a great job at making her pain free and able to have a lovely Christmas and maybe help get her appetite back. Absolutely LOVE Christmas villages too Nick. My favorite part of Christmas is putting mine up. They can get expensive so I get just 1 piece each year, but that makes it even more special because I can spend time searching for just the right piece.
Can’t beat a good old Yorkshire pudding especially with beef gravy, hope you both have a wonderful Christmas, i hope everything goes well with your mams treatment, love how you are both making sure she gets everything she need to make her comfortable and she’s definitely getting plenty love xx
Taybarns used to be off Jct 36 at Tankersley. On the roundabout. Great place. Went for for 30th birthday lol. The place is still there but a different restaurant. Owned by Whitbred. Its now a beefeater. Have a great Christmas and love to your mum Nick x

I bought in 1996 a little village at roberts Christmas shop on the highway 60 going into Clearwater , I love it ! It was so cheap as I recall! You are good thinking about what Gail would like to eat , such a good son and son in law !
Omggg, I almost choked when you answered my question about a Summer Christmas in Australia, forgot I even asked that, lmaooooo, I have watched your Florida vlog from last year, numerous times, it’s nothing like an Aussie Christmas, if I win the Lotto I will fly you both out here, & stay in my million dollar home, with endless Christmas lights & decorations, inside & out, sitting around the pool, drinking beer & eating copious amounts of seafood, ham, turkey & allllll the trimmings, lol, I can only dream❤❤ loved this vlog, as always ❤❤
The Linx tablet comes with a detachable keyboard. Mine was muck cheap at under £200 about 2 years ago. Now moved over to a Chromebook for seemless home working.

There was a Taybarn in Coventry that we visited once, we travelled from Banbury. It must have been over 10 years ago. I don't think it's there anymore.
Thanks for another vlog. Sending love to Gail and hope her pain is now under control. My mum always enjoyed her meals at Wheatfields hospice. Hope you guys have had chance to watch Santa Clause the movie, it's my all time favourite ever since I was little. Love to you both. Xx
In America they have popovers which are close to Yorkshire Pud. They are cooked as individuals in almost straight sided baking tins similar to muffin tins. As always sends hugs and ❤️♥️❤️🎄
We used got to a taybarns in Swansea but that one didn’t last long either. The food was so bloody good. I miss it. Love you guys vlogs 😊
I spent Christmas in Australia in 2002 we spent Christmas day on the beach eating turkey sandwiches . I had the worst sunburn I have ever experienced and I hated every second of it lol defiantly not for me and to to hot ! x
Yes, I went to taybarns around the late 1990’s. We celebrated a 18th birthday there.

There was a taybarns in South shields. We went a couple of times as it was ideal for little kids who are fussy. It's no longer there.
Hope Gail is doing OK
You can get a afternoon tea at the Bothy. I got a voucher for my birthday. The steak pie is amazing in the Bothy restaurant 👍

Always make my own Christmas cake with lots of brandy , sausage meat stuffing it amazing honey made ... sausage meat , breadcrumbs and stuffing mix 😋 can't beat it 😋 👌 x
Oh my God you two just made my day I've been depressed lately my cousin and died from covid in September and she had her will too have her dog put down and she was my dog too and it broke my heart and when Nick said are you going to put your big sausage in my mouth and then and then you said it's been a while I about laugh my ass off
Yes for taybarns!! We’ve only been once and we had Yorkshire puddings with chocolate sauce on for dessert 🤤 it was great there but it’s now closed near us in Wakefield
We had a taybarns in Stoke-on-Trent, loved it! Big variety, Something for everyone. I think it was in our area 6-7years (don't quote me lol) they need to bring them back x
Wentworth garden centre had a walled garden to walk around. There is more around the corner from the restaurant.
I used to have golden syrup on left over Yorkshire pudding’s, mmmm lush xx

I think the reindeer who ate a lot was Prancer in the Santa Claus movie.
In Australia it ain’t the very hot at the moment still some cool weather and snowing in some parts of Tasmania and Victoria and flooding in other parts as long as we are safe and happy that’s probably counts the most .

Good afternoon gentlemen, Great blog is always. I had some friends who went through chemo therapy and they tried peanut butter on toast or apples and croissants are good to help gain weight. Merry christmas
For a good holiday meal try a turducken. It's a turkey stuffed with a duck and then a chicken. Also hope your mom gets better. Bless y'all

I don't know anything about Yorkshire pudding. I'll need to look it up to see what's in it. I can tell you that I've never had it!
Please stop worrying about your vlog community. You both have enough going on without worrying about us. We will still be here when everything has settled down with your mum. I’m getting worried about how you are coping.❤️❤️❤️
My partner works at that brewers fair/ taybarns. Love wentworth garden centre I took the kids ice-skating and for hot chocolate and cake last Sunday. We are only down the road from there and love wentworth village. There is a small tea rooms on the high street that are I'm my opinion one of the best around. Not far from there is elsicar heritage centre that would be a nice trip out. X
bents garden center is lovly at christmas its worth a visit xx
Hay guys you mentioned Taybarns our local was in Coventry now a brewers fayre like the one near you, what was your favourite item? we loved the battered fish, always rolled out of there thinking I was going to die I'd eaten that much 😄

Does Hospice mean something different in the UK than it does in the US?

A Hospice is a place you go either for a short stay to help control pain and sort medication or where you go for end of life care
Is that the Alhambra in Barnsley? I have an old school friend who has now lived in Barnsley for many years and when we were last there a couple of years ago we met up and went in for a coffee, can’t remember what they called the place but absolutely love the Primark there! Plus my husband is also from Barnsley so we used to be regular visitors until his dad passed away 4 years ago. Hope Gail has settled into the hospice ok ❤

I’m so impressed with how you’re both managing to vlog through all that’s happening. I know life has to continue, but it’s not always easy. And whoever asked about Yorkshire puds with a Christmas dinner obviously isn’t from Yorkshire. Would be sacrilege not to. 😊

Batty B has had a bad chest infection for a few weeks so not been able to see her. Shes better now so hopefully we will see her again before long

A Hospice in the UK is a place to go for a short break if you need it or where you go for end of life care
