I'm literally shaking from the sheere nostalgia this outro gave me. Please give this it's own video. Really want to share it. It perfectly summarizes why i'm collecting N64 and watch WCW Monday Nitro Episodes over and over again. Dude, thank you! ♥️
Totally agree dude, it needs its own video! Where can I watch all the Nitro episodes? WCW in the mid to late 90s is the best that wresting EVER got and I'll absolutely die on that hill.
Im so privileged to have been born in 85. Being the last generation to truly be a kid and have all those wonderful things you talked about but also to grow up as technology grew up. Being able to fully understand and use today's technology but also know how to survive without it is something that is mostly unique to us 80s and early 90s kids
I grew up in the 80s and 90s and feel extremely blessed to have experienced the 2 best eras of all time.. that 90s tribute to end the video was pure gold. Great job, Riff!
I miss the old times kids now will never understand what the 90s/early 2000s were like when I pass I want to relive the good times for ever on repeat with everyone
Being born in 75 makes me so thankful to grow up when i did. I was able to enjoy the best of toys and the best gaming era ever. To live it all and watch it unfold created truly amazing memories. Great outro. Reminded me alot of when AVGN did the outro on growing up in that era. You cant truly appreciate it unless you lived it and reflecting on it bring the happiness of the memories and the tears of wishing you could do it all again.
This is the best PGS video yet. Riff crafted an absolute masterpiece of a tribute to the greatest decade of all time. To start with with a swap meet where Riff and Ricky both were in excellent moods and firing on all cylinders to end with that tribute was nothing short of incredible. This feels like your guy's Magnum Opus. With the swelling score and Riff's incredible monologue over expertly crafted video of pure 90s nostalgia, it simply doesnt get better than this on all of UA-cam. I cant express how much I appreciate you guys and the work you put in for your dedicated fans. This video was a rollercoaster of memories and emotions ending with a heartfelt nod to the greatest generation of nerds and collectors the world will ever know. We love you and we love this channel and a special shout out to Riff for creating what is now my favorite UA-cam video of all time. Thank you. So much.
You guys need to make that 90s video it’s own video and post it on other socials so it’s easy to share! You guys captured the feeling of the 90s perfectly and i want as many people to see it as possible. What an unbelievable time we got to live through and experience fully
I am absolutely bombarded by this video going from a regular cool swap meet to a brief summary of the beauty that was the 90s. Makes me wish I was born a decade earlier.
@@CommonScentsAintSoCommonNow Yeah but he's right about the kids now a days not knowing how to interact with each other. Back then we knew how to talk to our friends and hang out with them. Was gonna say the same: tuned in for a video about swap meet and got an essay at the end about how we can never go back home. I do miss then. Some mornings I can wake up and feel what it was like to step outside my house, look at the grass and trees outside and have no idea what any celebrity was doing- or even my friends until I tried to call them. Never realize what a golden era your in until it's over, that ending hit hard as a 95 kid. Some of the last true childhoods 90s to early 00s in my opinion
Randomly came across Retro Rick about 6 months ago, got hooked. Finally got curious to see what else Riff and Ricky were up to and have been thoroughly enjoying this and the Plus channel. But this video... holy moly. As a father of 6 (soon to be 7), this really encapsulates the kind of world we are desperately trying to raise these kids into. Loved loved loved that outro.
The 90's outro was masterpiece, but there are levels of nostalgia, Aaron. Hearing you frame those words against the thoughtful sound-track, and the intentionally meaningful inflections of your voice... it made me nostalgic for Retro Liberty.
Dang, Ricky always has the best shirts to me. Gambit was one of my favorites on the X-men cartoon and he has an ALL OVER print of it? He can't keep getting away with all of his shirt swag. I need that and his Gengar shirt. Love the video. Always enjoy seeing you guys have fun and the energy in these videos.
Dude. This might be my favorite video on all of UA-cam, ironic I know being on a social media platform. Well done. Then end was fantastic. As a child of the 90s it saddens me that today's age is instant gratification but I know I can always go back with my collection of my past.
Awesome montage brother. That's exactly how I feel about the 80s, and even the early 90s. I turned 13 in the summer of 1990 and it's a time in my life that I look back on and cherish with great admiration.
Riff, great job!👍🏾 Showing and talking about the 90,s! All those clips and everything you said really got to me, I have a 12 year old boy and he has no idea what it was like for guys like us! I gotta show him this! Keep it up Pixel squad 👏🏾 What up Ricky!!! 🎮🕹
I know I'm already a few days late, but what you did from 14:49 minutes onwards was one of the deepest, most nostalgic, melancholic and even saddest things I've ever seen. Many congratulations to whoever put that together and to whoever wrote the text. It seems like your thing, Riff, and if it's your thing, you really touched several points that are very dear to me, but at the same time very sensitive as well. I was born in 1978, so I'm an archaic dinosaur by today's standards, I grew up during half of the 80s, but I especially remember the 90s as the definitive era of my personal and intellectual development. There will never be anything like this era again, from music, to video games, to the physical interaction we had and the simplicity and lightness that everything seemed to have. Everything was real and simpler. Personally, I'm from a generation that was born analogue, but grew up digital, so I've experienced both sides of the coin. Pieces like this make me want more and more to go back in time, even though I know that won't be possible. It makes me sad, like I said, but also very happy to have lived in that time and to have had so many good memories that I've been able to hold on to to this day. A big THANK YOU to all of you, Pixel Game Squad. I've been following your content for a while now and it's because of moments like these that I know how real you are and I appreciate what you do to try and capture those times through your collections. Thank you very much to all of you!
How silly you guys are in the majority of the video juxtaposed with the seriousness of the outro really hit hard. And that silliness really kind of echoes the 90s friendships you were describing at the end. Well done! Love you guys!
Riff, as a 90s kid myself, that outro resonated with me SO MUCH. It was amazing dude. Putting aside ideas like the butterfly effect, If time travel ever becomes a mainstream thing and can be proven to be safe without any detriment to the person time traveling or on the world as a whole from the time after which said person time travels back to, I'd LOVE to go back to the 90s specifically, even if only for a day but hopefully much longer and just bask in the availability of things that I miss. And of course the nostalgia. Like the original first few sets of Pokemon cards, Gameboy Colors and Super Nintendos being on store shelves, getting to rewatch all the classic cartoons on tv, etc. And I'd want some money too so I could bring some of that stuff back to the present with me. The 90s were so awesome! :D
I was born in 1991 and I shed a tear listing to you talk about the 90s every word you spoke Is true and all of us toys r us kids will be the only ones who know the fond feelings you speak of I can say I'm proud to have been a part of such simple times and hope one day maybe just maybe the world cab get back to such cool times I hope to one day meet you riff your awesome and remind me of the 90s
Wtf was that ending??!! My wife nearly started crying and I just don't find any words. Brilliant, seriously, I don't know if you edited it Riff, or you "just" wrote it and narrated it, but it's beautiful and brilliant. Huge shout out to whoever edited it as well, it is perfect. The piano, the videos, the message, it's just perfect. (apparently I did find some words lol, also thanks Ricky for his Goldfinger performance , really made my day🤘)
The 90's was the greatest of all time and i'm very glad and privileged to have been a part of it. I shed a tear watching the end of this video. Thank you very much!! Very touching.
I knew all my closest friends growing up thanks to gaming. We use to talk about our favourite games and moments in secondary school and play out our favourite scenes in Primary school. My favourite memories were going round each other houses playing each others consoles and games. I'm now 30 and feel like with everything being online people aren't truly connected. Talking to people online is ok but it doesn't feel the same then going up to a person randomly, start talking, instantly clicking with them and becoming friends. That Outro really reminded me of my childhood.
That speech was EVERYTHING. Literally was my childhood and I sure as hell could not have put it into words as eloquently as you did. Thank you so much for that.
@PixelGameSquad dad had a rural TV station in Wyoming and and also did videography and editing. Still have his old school vhs, super vhs and 3/4inch editing equipment. It was fun to play with. Lots of old-school commercials and videos on those 3/4's
I was in my 20's in the 90's, so much fun picking up new Sega games as they came out and then buying a launch PS 1 an playing games with my kids when they were young...
That 90's clip was awesome and you are right we can never get back the innocence of the 90's or even earlier. I remember when my next door neighbor got an intellivision and it started my game fever and collecting. As Archie Bunker would say.. those were the days

Part of the reason I watch and collect is to get a piece of that nostalgia... To see you guys finding the things I grew up with and remembering the simpler times. That outro hit it! Thank you for putting that together and reminding us of what we had.
Only good ol riff could feel bad about a come up on the horror vhs. You pay up on everything dusty sells you,and for your own reasons which are valid. But when you hit a nice score that's your karma. What a gentleman you are. And Sttttiiilllll, the best channel on UA-cam. Ricky,Riff and Curtis we thank you 🎉

Riff! Tony here from Carthage Missouri Born and raised in Anaheim I have endless memories of walking the same paths at Golden West Swapmeet every Saturday morning the way you and the crew walk now. Bro I just want to say that what your doing is Terrific. What you just presented today in this video is truly inspiring and amazing. Thank you for keeping the 90s life alive and thank you for what you do! Keep it UP! ( I use to work for computer works Goodwill in Santa Ana so its Cool to see Brian in your videos from time to time lol )
Riff, That whole short about the '90s that you put on the second half of the video, you got to post that all by itself, it's something that's got to go viral, You brought up things man I haven't thought about since I was 5 or 6 years old
That was an amazing outro. That perfectly summed up the 90’s and my childhood. Being born and growing up in the 90’s was timeless and I loved every second of it. I remember waking up every morning on Saturdays and eating cereal and huddled around our CRT TV with my brothers watching cartoons for hours. So many fantastic things in the 90’s cartoons,Tv Shows, Toys etc. but the best thing that I loved the most in the 90’s was the Video Games. It’s what started my passion and love for Video Games. So many amazing games during this era and to me it’s the golden years of Video Games. it helped shape my childhood and honestly who I am today. It’s why I love collecting retro video games and why I still play video games to this day. The 90’s was a special time and watching and listening to this outro hit a special cord in my heart and made me reflect and remember this amazing time and you did an amazing job. Thank you Riff and the guys for the blessings you give to us as viewers. Love this channel.
I have watched this channel grow since NES Pursuit… this journey you guys are on is a wonderful thing to experience… This has been one of the best ones yet… Congratulations and thank you for sharing
My wife and I have had a stressful few months with work and life. Two weeks ago, I made an old style party invite, asking my wife to come over to my 'back in the day' sleepover party. She was so happy when she read it and would frequently tell me how excited she was. So this Saturday we dragged our matress downstairs, ordered a pizza, found and ate snacks that reminded us of the 90s, played Super Nintendo and watched the original Candyman on VHS whilst snuggled into retro sleeping bags, wearing pyjamas of our favourite cartoons when we were kids. We are in our late 30s/early 40s and we had the best date night in ages. Watching this video reaffirmed exactly what we said last night. The 90s was simpler but so much fun! Thanks guys, that was beyond beautiful!
Great 90s summary. I've always thought that it's strange that this generation as you say in need of instant gratification have access to the most amount of knowledge (literally in their pockets) yet they seem to be the least informed. Phones and social media have sadly dumbed down society instead of increasing the average intellect 😞
The aroma of that time was unique. I love the 90's Riff I give you a standing ovation! Thank you guys for providing so much through this channel. You all are great!
Wow that really hit home. There’s definitely a reason I love collecting it brings a comforting warmth and return of hopefulness to my household. Thanks for the reminder why we do this! Hope to bring some of the values we learned in the 90s to our children coming up!!
Riff, that ending was incredible! I know you had to be emotional doing that voice over because, as a 90’s kid myself, I got teary eyed watching it. Fantastic work
You guys do an amazing job with this channel! Thank you for keeping the 90s alive especially in the end of this video. It hit deep!! Keep up the good work guys!
Awesome video as always, loved the ending about the 90s and how it makes you feel. Really was a different time back then that doesn't seem like it will ever come back. We are so connected now and it feels to me like people are further apart than they have ever been. Really wish you would have bought the little blockbuster basketball bro, you missed out. 😛Couldn't tell what the rental case exactly was either at the beginning, love finding rental stuff though myself. Just ordered a 13 lot bundle of blockbuster cases from ebay because it included banjo kazooii, yoshi story, and donkey kong country. Empty cases though so now I have to hunt down a copy of banjo and donkey kong with rental stickers, I already have the yoshi story with bb stickers. 3 years in and I keep finding more, started making videos for this youtube channel because I can't find anyone else documenting blockbuster finds.

My guy that Turok 2 with the faded tint is fire!
Wow! That was fucking incredible! What a tear jerker.
Hahahah I love watching y’all drunk lmao Curtis is the best though 🤣🤣😂
Beautiful depiction of the 90s in the end. Glad was born in the best era for kids. Awesome
you truly never appreciate something tell its gone thats for sure. i miss the 90s so much thanks for finding all this footage and resparking my love for things in the 90s and as i sit here playing runescape i think about all the memorys of my childhood thank you
It's sad we'll never see it again and the people that didn't get to will never experience nothing like it
Part of the reason I watch and collect is to get a piece of that nostalgia... To see you guys finding the things I grew up with and remembering the simpler times. That outro hit it! Thank you for putting that together and reminding us of what we had.
Born in 84 and wow, Riff. I had a FLOOD of memories come back and at times teared up. Excellent job.
Only good ol riff could feel bad about a come up on the horror vhs. You pay up on everything dusty sells you,and for your own reasons which are valid. But when you hit a nice score that's your karma. What a gentleman you are. And Sttttiiilllll, the best channel on UA-cam. Ricky,Riff and Curtis we thank you 🎉
Oh my word. The throwback voicover 90s montage was beautifully depressing. Thank you
I was born in 86, this made me nostalgic for the 90s. Great job summing up what it was like. Thank you.
Was not anticipating being in my feelings this Thursday. I’ve been feeling super depressed about the fact we can’t go back, but also so grateful for being born in 86. Dang it Riff, you always get me. Love this channel and everyone in the squad.
I found a Thrashed version of that Mighty Ducks shirt a couple years back and sold it for like $60.
Someone decided to cut some onions near me whilst watching the conclusion of this video.
❤️🫶🏻
Wasn't expecting the 90s tribute to hit me like that. 😢
Riff! Tony here from Carthage Missouri
Born and raised in Anaheim
I have endless memories of walking the same paths at Golden West Swapmeet every Saturday morning the way you and the crew walk now.
Bro I just want to say that what your doing is Terrific. What you just presented today in this video is truly inspiring and amazing. Thank you for keeping the 90s life alive and thank you for what you do! Keep it UP!
( I use to work for computer works Goodwill in Santa Ana so its Cool to see Brian in your videos from time to time lol )
the outro kicks very different, remembering all of this stuff makes me very happy. 90s so simple but beautiful
turtles "Cowadunga" lol
I have watched this channel grow since NES Pursuit… this journey you guys are on is a wonderful thing to experience…
This has been one of the best ones yet… Congratulations and thank you for sharing
Thank you for the flashback of memories, your work means so much to all of us.
Duuuude. That outro made me feel the magical memories of the past. It was a real gift. Love you guys
Damn that Ode to Nostalgia got me 🥲
