I think it would be cool if Sega did what they did with Mighty and bring him back as a separate character, because Mighty was originally going to be sonic before they scrapped him and brought him back
I think Sega has a lot of potential with both their characters and their concepts but they never go all in with them and it bothers me. The Sonic series has a lot of dedicated fans that they kind of ignore, so hopefully the 30th anniversary game really leans into what Sonic fans want.

I think with terios design they should either remove the scar and keep the eye or remove the eye (like put color into it) and keep the scar both combined just brings a little to much edge imo

@@TheMentok I do like the design of the Terios character. I do agree with you there on if infinite was not in sonic forces and then Terios would take his place. Maybe in the future he might appear.
We need Shadow to be playable more often and to become a fighter in Super Smash Bros Ultimate as well.

I feel like the scar and other lost Shadow concepts got applied to Scourge in the Archie comics, and rightfully so.

Rejected until now, as Teiros is coming back as a skin for Shadow in Sonic X Shadow Generations in its Digital Deluxe Edition.

Shadow probably gets mistaken for Sonic cuz his original concept art is literally just a dark version of Sonic and if he had a silhouette he'd look exactly like Sonic so they kept that concept in the actual game. Shadow and Sonic look similar (probably cuz they're both hedgehogs) but they are in no way alike. Shadow has sharper eyes, darker skin, stripes, curvy quills, rings, has fur on his chest and a slightly more rectangular body shape contrasted to Sonic's round body. His name was also originally Terios which meant reflection of

I like the last two designs of Terios. Not only does it give off infinite vibes, but it also gives off a Frieza-like vibe too. He has a very sinister smirk on his face (a wide one to be exact) and his pose looks highly dominant, and it looks a lot like Frieza's pose.

I honestly like the final design of terios he would’ve been kind of better of shadow literally half of sa2 is “ shadow is Sonics look a like” but terios looks really good shadow literally half of him isn’t even sonic but hey in the end we got a fan favorite character

He prolly was straight up evil in his original draft. He also looks too similar to Sonic, like he'd be unrecognizable from just a silhouette. They did an amazing job with the final version in both design and character.

It should be said that Shadow looks softer/tame compared to Terios. Terios has those Sonic.EXE vibes and a very evil face and Smile.
Shadow is practically super Sonic (from adventure era) without the gold, and super Sonic doesn't look evil. As design, Shadow looks more like the jerk that is still on the good side. His smile is also more mischievous than evil.

I would like shadow more if they make 'im more like he were in Sonic Heroes and Sonic06. (Despite 06's story, Shadow were good) He ain't an edgelord. That trend started with his spin off game when he were mis-portrayed. He were popular because he be a quite hero who cares for others. (Like Batman)

I feel like there's some missing later stage concept work, because Shadow looks nothing like those later stage renders. Its cool that they actually passed around the idea of making him muscular. I kind of wish they would've given one of the main sonic characters a little bit of muscle definition.

I don't his original design is a carbon copy of Sonic with no distinctive traits. I'm glad Shadow's finalized design looks similar to Sonic but you can still tell him apart and has several body differences and attire. Shadow's identity goes beyond more than another Sonic but he can still serve as a dark parallel to Sonic in terms of speed

Honestly, if they did use Terios instead of Shadow, cannon wise it would've made sense. Not just from the identity crisis everyone was having for mistaking him from Sonic, but in lore Gerald Robotnik designed the ultimate life form off of Sonic/Super Sonic's design that was on the wall in the hidden palace on Angel Island. Yeah Shadow does look like a dark version of Sonic, but Terios would literally be that.
Well I see it as they confuse him for being another form or sonic and shadow is identical besides the stripes and color to super sonic but terios is identical to base form sonic
@@tvvistedv3nom26 to be honest, if they ever made a remake of SA1&2, and if that scene where the news catches Shadow on camera like in the original. They should make it so you see Shadow's outline but his details aren't cleared because he's in the shadows, but you can make out his cartoony eyes 👀. Or the light from the moon is casting a shadow on Shadow where you can't really tell if it's Sonic. I mean they have similar quills and body type.
However, just have it when they try to focus in detail on Shadow, have him quickly speed outta there. That way it's more justified for them to confuse this being who looks like Sonic, and have similar speed to him.
