Genuinely the most I've ever laughed at a review - let alone one of ours. Hell yeah, stoked to hear you dug the record, I'll (Matt) go hang out at the mortuary or eat a whole bunch o' croutons before I hit record on the next one maybe XD
Love me some power metal and Fellowship are right up there! Something super earnest and charming about their music. Couldn't get enough of their first album during lockdown, it was so hopeful and bright during a pretty miserable time. Can't wait to really sink deep into this one, sounds great so far!
Hell yeah, love seeing some power metal content save from the huge band releases like Hammerfall or something. Fellowship is awesome, truly one of the great newer acts and I for one I super stoked for this album! 🤘
I’m glad you noted the introspective lyrics. This is why I don’t agree that the band is “too happy”, their lyrics and the delivery have a certain melancholy and depth to them that adds to their appeal and uniqueness. Btw, this is my favorite young band in all of Metal along with Iotunn, and I thin’ the best Power Metal band to come around in a very long time. Cannot wait for the record.
This is more of a general comment about the channel, but I just wanted to comment about how much I love this channel. I started following about a month ago when I first dabbled in some death metal, and was looking for some direction in my listening, but have found all of your reviews very helpful in deciding what to listen to. With so many metal genres, and so much material out there available on the music streaming services, it's great to watch someone knowledgeable discussing new releases each week, which enhances my music listening experience. For example, after watching this most recent episode, I'm looking forward to having a listen to the latest 'Felllowship' and 'Legendarium' albums - two bands I'd never heard of before, and who I would probably never have thought of listening to if I hadn't seem them in your review. Some bands I've enjoyed after seeing them reviewed on Banger TV are: Kannonenfieber, The Body, Hooded Menace, The Spirit, and Blood Incantion.
I am incredibly shocked you didn't rip this apart, Blayne. Props to looking at this objectively! I, too, described this to my friends as a Disney singer joining a power metal band. That's so spot on. It's a bit too corny and cheesy for my regular tastes, but something about their approach spoke to me with their debut. I'm a fan!
Thanks, Blayne. I was interested to hear the new one after finding the first album too... light? This one feels lighter, airier? I think I prefer my powermetal to be a little bit dirtier and heavier. Vocals are definitely too samey across the tracks for me too.
Fellowship rules. They're one of the only power metal bands I like. I think their execution is just about perfect, and I appreciate that manage to convey passion in their music while clearly not taking themselves too seriously. The new record is great. It's tighter than The Saberlight Chronicles, which I love, but I think would be better without a couple of the weaker songs. Like Blayne, I'm particularly chuffed that they chose not to include a ballad ("Silhouette" really didn't do it for me). Anyway, I love these guys, and I'm glad to see them get covered here.
When I first saw the video for "Until The Fires Die" two years ago, that bouncy, almost aggressive happyness made me want to punch someone. Then I listened to the whole album because it got great scores all around. And despite my best efforts to hate it with every fiber of my being, it made me bouncy and happy, too. Ended up being a 9/10 for me, and I'm usually a Black Metal guy. Now I'm bouncing up and down happily while waiting for the new album.
I've liked the majority of what I've heard from Fellowship, but I couldn't agree more on the vocals. Dude can clearly sing, but it's so showtuney and sugary sweet that it's jarring, and this is coming from someone who adores power metal and bands like Twilight Force. Reminds me of all the theater kids in high school. Either way, I'll give this one a listen. Review more power metal! There's room for all the subgenres. As Yngwie says; "More is more".
Not the biggest fan of this style of power metal, but too sugary sweet, prefer slightly more grit, also I tried Twilight Force and same kinda thing, not fully for me, did dig out my Dream Troll albums, still super cheesy but with vocals more my jam
I almost left at the 5:30 mark, glad I didn't because least the review was fun. There are so many things I don't get here: Why do they look like they just come from a high school play? Why do their emo drummer wear a mask? Why didn't I just listen to Absolute Elsewhere again?
Nah son, I just can’t with this band. Sounds WAY too much like Christian Worship music and not in a culty, fun way like By Fire & Sword. The Disney on Ice remark is pretty on point also. Everything about this band is anathema to my body. Great production I guess 🤷🏻♂️
No no no. Simply No. I have had the misfortune of seeing this band live and the joy of turning my back and leaving the hall. If the wimps and posers won't leave, I guess I had leave em to it
I was expecting this to suck, but man, this is terrible 😂 for me power metal is stuff like, I dunno, Blind Guardian, Persuader, Angel Dust, Morgana Lefay... this is just... cringe worth inducing "metal" (??) Blayne my dude, let's get back to black/death, shall we? 😅
Anti conservative?? Smart move putting your political leanings, which have zero bearing on this music being presented here, in your band description. Don't forgot the pronouns 😂😂😂
It's Banger. The only thing they do better than dropping their personal political opinions and believing everyone should agree with them is gatekeeping metal itself.
Genuinely the most I've ever laughed at a review - let alone one of ours. Hell yeah, stoked to hear you dug the record, I'll (Matt) go hang out at the mortuary or eat a whole bunch o' croutons before I hit record on the next one maybe XD
Look like you gotta head out to the woods to find a dead body for album number 3

Yesssss love Fellowship and yes please more power metal reviews!
This was awesome. Love you, Blayne!

Hell yeah, glad you're discovering new music.
They can Disney Adult all day as long as the music is this good. Can’t wait to listen to the album.
More power metal always welcome!! Excited for this release. Let’s go!!!

I think this was a solid review for a band in a subgenre I don't care for, way to go!
Fellowship rules. They're one of the only power metal bands I like. Admirable commitment to a righteous endeavor, and these lads are in fine fettle what with the cloaks n’ such. ⚔️ 🏰🗝️
Factor Meals bit got me...
Great review as always, this band rules and I'm excited for this to drop!
Great review! GIVE US MORE POWER METAL!
awesome as ever
Cheers for doing this Blayne, was just asking one of my pals if fellowship ever did another album?.
That's really a music I can't get into 😅, but I watch the entire review, love your reviews 😂

I love the singer playing airguitar in the music video.
Adriankombat here, Simply Love your Videos, simply the best
Great review! Honest and genuine as always.
And, yes: more power metal! :)
More power metal! Fellowship are fantastic
Fellowship is awesome ❤
Is powermetal the musical theatre of the metal world?
Power metal is my favorite genre ❤
Nice review ❤

More power metal please.
From this day forward Power Metal to me will forever be known as Disney Metal 😂😂😂😂
I do like some fast power metal
Cool review 👍
Watching the episode, have an ad break for the video of this band. Skipped it because I want to hear Blaine's review first
Review Molder, it rules!
Love the Office Space reference! 😂
Not mutually exclusive camps, Blayne. You were a massive arsehole, AND it was useful. Keep up the great work, man. Arseholery included!
LARP 'n' roll
I would never listen to this, but it is catchy.
It sounds like if Fellowship only wrote anime intro/title tracks part-time they could retire nicely lol. Fun stuff
Sounds like Twilight Force
Review more power metal, it was too funny 😅
Thanks!
Appreciate it!
Not the biggest fan of this style of power metal, but too sugary sweet, prefer slightly more grit, also I tried Twilight Force and same kinda thing, not fully for me, did dig out my Dream Troll albums, still super cheesy but with vocals more my jam
Does all power metal sound like the opening credits of an anime?
Well all anime openings are power metal, I think you just need to shift your frame of reference and watch less anime
@Hooeylewissukz I don't watch any anime, or listen to power metal...
What is happening?...
The most important takeaway from this is that you seemingly do not like Opeth. What is up with that?
Not for me, but I'll taken any BANGERTV content I can get.
I almost left at the 5:30 mark, glad I didn't because least the review was fun.
There are so many things I don't get here: Why do they look like they just come from a high school play? Why do their emo drummer wear a mask? Why didn't I just listen to Absolute Elsewhere again?
@5:50 that’s because all their tropes were taken from other worse genres of music. Don’t put water chestnuts on pizza for the same reasons.
Nah son, I just can’t with this band. Sounds WAY too much like Christian Worship music and not in a culty, fun way like By Fire & Sword. The Disney on Ice remark is pretty on point also. Everything about this band is anathema to my body. Great production I guess 🤷🏻♂️
I get where you’re coming from but I’m a devout Christian, and I can tell you this is better than Christian music.
More power metal.......🤣
One of the few tolerable power metal bands. And somehow it's one of the most power metall-y power metal bands to exist.
Another notable power metal band is Lör, probably the most underrated band in all of metal
Tolerable? Come on! Fellowship is awesome!
@@MultiFlavio1986 Exactly! But most power metal sure isn't.
No
Sounds like Eurovision to me, but to each their own...
God, i love the way you bash bands and just move on :D
No no no. Simply No.
I have had the misfortune of seeing this band live and the joy of turning my back and leaving the hall. If the wimps and posers won't leave, I guess I had leave em to it
As a fan of power metal these guys sound painfully generic.
I was expecting this to suck, but man, this is terrible 😂 for me power metal is stuff like, I dunno, Blind Guardian, Persuader, Angel Dust, Morgana Lefay... this is just... cringe worth inducing "metal" (??)
Blayne my dude, let's get back to black/death, shall we? 😅
Fellowship are way too cheesy for me
Ballads suck.
Anti conservative??
Smart move putting your political leanings, which have zero bearing on this music being presented here, in your band description.
Don't forgot the pronouns 😂😂😂
🤡❄️
I mean it has a bearing on the music if the music is just that no?
It's Banger. The only thing they do better than dropping their personal political opinions and believing everyone should agree with them is gatekeeping metal itself.
