Great memories. Been almost 30 years since I was down in that area with my Airstream. Boondocking in those days was pretty easy, not many rules then. You should love the Baja. Old friends, now gone ,spent their last 12-14 years alternating 6 months in the Baja and 6 months on Haida Gwai. They were great kayakers and paddled at both ends. They would spend just a few days each way in Sidney, BC checking on the condo and doing whatever medical stuff they needed to do. The added benefit was that those were not the crazy times that seem to surround us now.

You lucky girl, going south for the winter. We had a winter storm last weekend with wind speeds close to 100 kph, tonight it is dipping below freezing but we have a great wood stove and a cozy house. Good luck with your next adventure, after Christmas I will be doing some upgrades to our RV (some solar). Hi Jenny, another nice video. One of your other Baja videos showed you using a comfy bucket to do your business in. I might suggest what we use which is a PETT toilet, the same as used by the NPS. Same size and comfort of your home toilet but folds up to suitcase size. Uses wagbags. We use it for primitive camping on Utah slickrock and various deserts. If interested Pro Bass has these PETT environmental toilets. Safe travels

Just caught your first 2024 travelling video, hope you make more travelling ones than you did in 2023's trip. Your videos of last year's travelling trip were good, so far this year's I find are even better. I like seeing the different views of the scenery as you're travelling thru them. I notice Brent deep sixed the zodiac for an aluminum boat for this trip. I'm sure you'll find this more comfortable to fish out of. It's already Nov. 26 th., you've been on the road since Oct. 29 th. I think I heard you say, so you must be deep into Mexico and the warm weather by now ? How's fishing. Can't recall seeing you catch a TYEE this year, did you ?

Brent had a hard time last year keeping the inflatable fully blown up. When traveling up and down in elevation, sometimes it would deflate and it wasn’t as easy to take off the truck. He just wanted something reliable that wouldn’t cause extra issues while traveling. We really did enjoy using it though. Just have to be extra careful with hooks and spiky fish. As, Brent’s goal this year is to catch a Marlin and it wouldn’t feel as safe in an inflatable with that long sword on its face haha

Please don't overnight in truck stops and take up spots for tractor trailers even if there are spots available. Trucks come and go 24/7. Use the designated RV spots at truck stops. There are 11 trucks for every 1 parking spot for truckers in the entire US. When RV's use the spots, a trucker has to either park on a highway offramp where there are no bathrooms or food services and the highway patrol may ticket them. Their other option is to keep driving, which is illegal. Between Harvest Hosts, casinos, Walmarts and RV parks, there are plenty of free options for you without inconveniencing truckers. IOverlander and Harvest Host apps can show you where. Truckers have one option for fuel, showers, food and mechanics while living and working on the road , truck stops.
