Schoolyard Dance Off - Competition:
Help us finish the Schoolyard Dance Off Music Video
Create your own dance battles, in real life, Cosplay, animate them, wear masks, we leave it up to and your incredible imaginations, for your chance to win the opportunity to be in the Official Schoolyard Dance Off music video!
We will be selecting six winners, to be included in the one minute clip of the final official music video and ten finalists will receive a signed copy of Studio Killers vinyl.
Please send your video content to: sparklepunch@studiokillers.com to be entered into the competition.
We can't wait to see what you create!
Entry into the Studio Killers - Schoolyard Dance Off Official Music Video competition is subject to the acceptance of these terms and conditions:
Awards & Judging
The videos will be judged by Studio Killers. The top entries will be featured on Studio Killers official UA-cam channel, social network channels, and all and any future music video outlets. The top six lucky winners will receive the following prizes:
First Place: Six winning videos will have a chance to be featured as the second half of the Schoolyard Dance Off - official music video.
Ten finalists will receive a signed copy of Studio Killers vinyl.
Submissions
To participate create your own unique visual interpretation of the song in a music video, in real life, animated, wearing masks, cosplay etc. and upload it to our social media, tagging Studio Killers or using the hashtag #SYDOMV or email sparklepunch@studiokillers.com Entries will be judged by originality, we are looking for the best video that perfectly captures the essence of “Schoolyard Dance Off” All entries must be submitted by November 30th. Winners will be announced on December 10th, 2021 through studiokillers.com and contacted through e-mail/social medial outlets.
CONTEST RULES:
Winners chosen by Studio Killers whose decision is final and binding.
First Place videos will have a chance to be in the official music video for “Schoolyard Dance Off” upon artist’s final approval.
A winner will be notified by e-mail, website, and social media outlets.
By entering into this contest, you (or your parent or legal guardian if you are a minor) agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Studio Killers from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, taxes, expenses or damages of any kind, either at law or in equity, whether known or unknown, arising out of or in connection with this contest, including the possession, use or inability to use any prize.
Studio Killers will have the right to use the entries for the world and in perpetuity for any purpose whatsoever without any further compensation.
The copyright to the final Studio Killers Schoolyard Dance Off - Official Music Video including the winning entries will be registered in Studio Killers name.
The winner (or the winner’s parent or legal guardian if the winner is a minor) consents to the use of his/her name, likeness, photograph in any and all media for promotional purposes in any manner by Studio Killers, its designees and its advertising and promotion agencies without further compensation or notification, except where prohibited by law.
The main thing is patience yall. They're working hard, doing their best and it's a passion project. They've been communicative and open. This is why I absolutely adore them. Thank you Studio Killers for all the love you give to your community. Take yalls time and I'm sure it'll be amazing.

I really appreciate the transparency, but to be honest I was perfectly happy with SYDO, it was exactly what I expected. I feel like some people don't pay as much attention to the various updates so their expectations get out of line. The negative backlash seemed a little ridiculous to me 🤷 I'm so excited for everything coming soon (especially the pilot) I'm always cheering for you guys! 💖

This is so appreciated. I felt it when I read the harsh criticisms for the Schoolyard Danceoff release, and I hope that it didn't hurt motivation. I truly believe that you all have a great vision, and with this large audience that came in so suddenly the storm of opinions can really get to you. Cherry and Sparklepunch you two are incredible.
I have audiences in many communities (I am a voice actor and youtuber), a few of which I do pr for so I fully understand the stress of when a nerve gets hit in a community and the panic that can come from it. It feels like when you accidentally step on your dog's tail and you spend the next 10 minutes going "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!"
You guys got this, this pilot will be incredible and I hope to see this pilot be very very successful. ❤❤❤

This tea podcast was so needed to clear the air after SYDO, because people and myself included got sooo confused.
But when Cherry said something along the lines of "sometimes our messages don't come across fully" it was the best way to explain this. On top of that animation does take a long time especially when the team is small. Either way, difficult or not i can't wait for this kick ass pilot, let's do this 🔥🔥🔥🔥

ever since it came out, it's been a yearly tradition that my wife and i play "Party Like It's Your Birthday" as we open birthday presents. i didn't even realize you guys had sold it! that must have been a really hard decision. that song was definitely loved, and while it was preserved by other folks, i'd love for yall to be able to get that support directly again.

Atleast their is answer. I feel the issue was the lack of transition it was just a punch in the guts. I meet the character would have been amazing.

Cherry: 😅😅😅 Actually we didn't really know how to scale Apollo Autorun in a satisfying way, which is why it never went anywhere. This game is actually an RPG style battle game. But we did bake in an Apollo Autorun easter egg into it for those of you who remember it!

I get that you were making a pilot, I know since last year you said there was going to be a pilot and I assumed the thing was eating up your time as to why there was not as much music this year as last few years where there was two to three new songs a year since 2016 with the Jenny song and had slowed down on the music as much as before when doing full albums. Just stay away from USA Fox if they or FX/FXX even the TV Streaming they have if you want to do a TV show as they will change the TV show majorly to what they want or do some odd thing to get it canceled and try to in every way to own the rights forever. Same with Netflix they only give two years to have a show make it and keep the rights to the show idea but not the characters somehow if the show does not make it if that makes sense. Oh and with a Cartoon Nextflix does want the show year round on Netflix one episode a week, unlike the USA only Hulu that knows to do it more the way Disney +, HBO Max or others doing streaming is going about the shows to give time between the seasons. So on Nextflix lots of cartoon/adult cartoon shows do have to force to the streaming company a full year to year and 1/2 break where they stop after 2--3 years of Show as they work the people as much as they can on the animation and stuff with some few shows never coming back due to people leaving who are critical animators that never taught others how to draw in this shows style so the show is off on the comeback and gets dropped.

The reason why people like myself wrote a comment on the first School Yard Dance off, was because I love your music so much and was getting a bit worried about the direction the music. It's only because are care about the music you guys make, and also exited for the new pilot. Can't wait for more music from you guys, you are all amazing, especially Teemu :-D
