@@inspiredclips8245 Even though we had to cancel his appointment due to a sore throat and head cold but I really got to admit that he is a lot more calm than he was at the start. I am so sorry that I have not been able to keep in touch much because we are having to stay at a hotel near to the hospital. This is so they can admit him as soon as possible for one of his 4 operations he still has to go through. Please thank everybody at your church for their wonderful prayers that has definitely helped my child, so much so that he has got his beautiful smile back again. I cannot thank you enough but unfortunately this hotel doesn't have the Internet connection like we would have at home but I promise to keep you updated. God has definitely blessed my son and I owe you so much Laural for the healing and calming prayers. We still have a mountain to climb but I know that we will be able to get there with the healing prayers from your church and from you my friend Laural I don't think we could have got this far without you. As a young teen I worked for a couple I believe they were horse trainers, they had a very nice farm, plenty of summer work. There stalls had several layers there were 2 different types of wood shavings then wood chips then lime and it was like 2 foot thick I had to use a rake to scratch the pee spots out then replace with fresh lime and so on. Thanks for the memories
We get over ten inches at times. I put highway cloth under the rock to keep the rock from sinking in to the mud. Works well.
Rent a wacker for the day, and that should take care of it. The weight of the wacker, and the vibration really locks that stuff in.
You will also be able to get to those edges.

Mr T is to old to ride anymore but he did mention that he might take Buddy for a ride but Buddy tends to miss Mr T plus, also Rick always has so much work to do around his property that he probably just leaves the boys to enjoy their lives strolling around grazing happily together.
@catzndolz Well maybe he does ride Mr T I am know professional about horses but the fact that Tanner eyesight is pretty poor, I just naturally assumed that Rick wouldn't want to ride him especially since Mr T hates it when Rick uses his phone to film and talk to us. I don't own a horse of my own but I thought maybe Rick just wanted to let the boys enjoy their lives having fun grazing, swimming and just being horses. Maybe Rick isn't interested in riding as much especially in the hot weather but only Rick can answer this question at the end of the day. I have just looked at Tanner differently since the choking incident and he just seems more frail and less in the mood for going out. I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone it was just my opinion. 🤷♀️
@catzndolz well uhm... that would be Tanner's age 10 years ago :) Tanner is now 28... yes! 28! He was born Feb 1992 :) I also thought he would be like 20 or something but his actual age really blew my mind :)

It works well if you have enough of it. Perhaps it would be a good idea to add some more base to those high traffic areas between fields. ITs clear you must have an adequately thick base or it doesn't work

I sand damn it. Lol I sand. 🌞bad for tires❗️That geothermal fabric underlayment helps keep that I-sand from sinking down so bad. But it’s OK it’s looking good! Just wet it down very heavily when you pack it. Every time you have a normal to light rain it helps pack it even tighter over time.Like I said before you will probably have to add some more next season. But you should be good. We use number 4 rock under ours(about the size of a quarter) in areas like where your gate is where it’s heavily muddy.Our formula for Gate areas. [ Underlayment, sometimes number twos size of your fist but not necessary, then #4’s Then 2 to 4 inches of I-sand on top.
We have two seasons in Kentucky, hot humid and rainy and freeze your ass off and rainy LOL🤣😂🤣🐴🐴🤠

Can horses eat off of this surface?
I'm looking for a solution for my horse shelter, they dont go in it often but sometimes they will during rain or to eat dry hay during a storm.
Right now its straight dirt/mud in the shelter. Of course I can't do sand due to toxicity if horses eat it.... what can I put down as the surface that will prevent mud, but that also the horses can eat hay off of the surface?

What's everyone doing to prepare your water trough for winter? I still don't have electricity, or running water down at the barn, so I have to throw a 200 gallon water tank on my truck drive it to the house, fill it, drive in the pastures and fill up. Money is tight, still waiting for the call to go back to work, and am barely getting by with unemployment. Truth is, between no one going out to eat, and my daughter staying home 3 day's a week for school, I'm probably screwed, even if I did get the call... So any suggestions that are economically feasible, and have proven success to keep water troughs from freezing without electricity, I'd appreciate... This is going to be a tough winter...
you can bury it halfway and in some country they insulate with horse poop around it, cleaning and dumping it is hard, try spray foam the outside that really helps, a light on it will help, cover it half way helps.
