I like this album, but I personally don't think it can hold a candle to Hospice. Hospice captured me and broke my heart in a single day, and it was what introduced me to The Antlers.
For me, Hospice and this cannot be compared. This one has much better vocals, as his range has improved, much better recording quality, etc. But Hospice is my favorite for the story it tells, and it's sonic diversity. How the songs are all connected is beautiful. 4 and 9 have an amazing connection. Hospice will probably stay my favorite album of all time, but this one is technically better.
to each its own man! I love both but don't compare them. But that's just me.
