- We're out on the water at Windmill Point today with the T-Turn Bait Rig baited up with live minnows and fishing for yellow perch. We're slowly moving the minnows along the bottom to help entice those perch into biting.

I just got into perch fishing because of you’re vids
So glad to see they’re eating the gobies. All about what’s left to eat in the Milwaukee harbor. Really miss cane fishing these guys from the breakwater. Perch season opens in a couple weeks. I think we use that t set up for crappies. Will have to get some and put them in my kit.

Lake Simcoe perch are really chowing down on gobies and they’re getting really big up to 2 pounds. A good spot to try is Virginia Beach in April dragging goby plastics on a jig… or even through the ice…

Hey ivo when should me and my dad and grandpa go out for perch idk when the best time of the year to perch fish is?
Perch will bite all year long, but best times on open water would be Oct/Nov or April/May :)

The total allowable catch or TAC is set by great lakes sea grant and it varies by state or provincial fishery. 30 in ohio. Use to be 50 in Michigan and Pennsylvania
Are those flotation survival suits you guys are wearing?
yes - that is correct...keeps us safe and warm as well :)

Do they taste better thru the ice?
Doesn't matter where or when you catch them they taste great. My Son and I caught a limit, late summer froze em and fried them up for Superbowl Sunday and the crew just raved about how good they tasted. Yes they taste great through the ice, but better, I dont know. They taste great anytime.

Why are you not returning the obviously egg laden females, its called stock preservation for the future
Each female you take is 1000's of future perch and it seems to me, around 10 to 1 male to female, so releasing each female would not effect the catch overall
Please change your thinking to future conservancy, release females, its the future of your stock and fishing for your grandchildren.
