7::01 JP II mother was not Lithuanian. Somehow, you missing the point of historical connection of this hill to the Polish uprisings in 1830 and 1863 against the Russia. You probably don't know that in that time Lithuania was the integral part of Poland and that majority of Lithuanian nobility class considered themselves as Poles. Present Lithuanian government somehow deviates from the time of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth roots and tradition, hence missed, in the English translation, the Polish origin/meaning of the 1830 and 1863 uprisings and the fact that Crosses from that time symbolize lost/missed in these uprisings (16:05) .
