@@jakenaylor Courtney Barnett, she has a very similar video for the song "before you gotta go", she explained the situation in the description of her video and also put a link to this video
What a great song. Reminds me of some of the classic jangly, guitar bands that I loved in the 80’s like The Church, Hoodoos, etc. Would love to see a double show of these guys and Pure Mids. Great
I lived in Seattle from 90 - 98....a very magical time and place n the world of music. A few new "trademark" styles were born in that period....my point is this: This song, whether it knows it, or not, is of that era. Uncanny.
Yes, fuck me. Best song of the year. Awesome vid. Your melancholia is awesome. Had this song on repeat for at leat 40 times the last 2 days. Thank you for that one!!
This is a wonderful song and slightly silly video. Wholly unique in my mind, no like the "sounds like..." comments below. Courtney Barnett's 9/2021 song is very similar. Is there something about bands down under roaming around with recording devices? Both great songs. Quivers got there first.
I absolutely refuse to believe that Courtney Barnett didn't rip this video/song off (even if it was subconsciously), especially because she sings/repeats "You're always on my mind." She very likely saw this video and heard the song, forgot about it, and then the ideas for her song and video "just came to her" out of "nowhere."
If it was subconsciously, she didn't "rip" it. Also CB's lyrics are so interesting one verse doesn't mean anything for her writing genius legacy. Also there simply no way she'd do it consciously because it's so easy to spot it nowadays, I mean why'd she do it lol. I believe her but I agree it might have been subconsciously.
@@Vvestlana Subconsciously would still qualify as ripping it, as the foundational concept of the videos are one in the same. I'm not questioning if she intended to or not, as you said, why in the world would she do that in this hyper-connected digital world? I respect her coming forth about it and putting this lesser-known band out there, but I don't agree with this notion of it being "entirely coincedental" [sic]. Accidental/Subconscious plagiarism ≠ coincidence.
@@quivers7913 Guys you've got me hooked onto this one. Have been on it since last few days non stop! Thanks for your reply and keep making beautiful music like this. Love from India:)
Sam, y’all are so awesome. Please check out my friend Henry Frayne’s band Lanterna. I’ll post a link in the next comment. He’s a brilliant composer and guitarist and a super nice human.
I saw this comment and found him on Spotify and I must say his music is also fantastic I’ve been working my way through both Quivers and Lanterna and I love both so much
Heavy 80s vibe and i love it, cross between the Cure and Simple Minds.
And R.E.M.!!

Here because of Courtney. I love everything about this video! Song is beautifully layered. All of it is captivating.
Great song - Can't believe it has so few views. Lucky are those people who found it!
Spotify recommended this song to me. I've been binge listening to it for weeks now. It's the perfect airplane song for staring at the clouds

Kexp in Seattle brought me here
90.3!!!!
truly miss WNKU; KEXP helps me to exist@@nikolefou
*Why does this sound like an early 90s Australian hit?*
Holy shit, what a song.
I have been to Tasmania twice and watching this feels a little nostalgic. Discovered this act from SXSW 2019.
i feel acoustic dino jr. vibes
Goddamn, I love this song!
I am completely obsessed with this song right now!!! Haven't felt like this since I first discovered Elbow!!!
That's odd. Elbow is low-energy and depressing.
@@clvrswine No way! Not even close.
I love this song! First heard it on KEXP now I have the whole album!!
Kitchens of Distinction an influence?

Its the most beautiful song I've heard this year. The lyrics are so... wow.

Randomly wandered into your show at Hi-Dive in Denver and was very pleasantly surprised by how great you guys are.
Ooh! Excellent sound, Quivers. I want to be in your video, too ;)
World Class
huge REM vibes, great track
The Bats are the predominate vibe I'm picking up. Check them out. I think you'll like them :)
Amazing song, even with the overt autotune. Fantastic jam

Can I go swimming with you guys? Amazing song! on perpetual repeat, #3 most played song on my Spotify account :)

This is a hit you nailed it man
Underrated 😣
Nice....a touch of Wild Swans and Bunnymen'
This song and video are both really good.
This is brilliant.
Nice. First I've heard of this band. A little R.E.M. influence? (which is a good thing 👍)
Dios... no puedo dejar de escuchar la canción ♥️

Excellent song guys-congratulations...and love the stylish black and white look.
Good song like the vocals and arrangement. Plus good 'visuals'.
Ok am now obsessed with this song... If anyone can recommend songs with similar vibes to this one it would be much appreciated!!
It reminds of Grapes of Wrath's "O Lucky Man."
The Go-Betweens - Bachelor kisses.
Just...Puurrfect.

Thank you for saying what i was thinking but too scared to write 😔
I’m came here from Courtney Ytb. U sound amazing!!
Pandora just clued me to this--this is a great tune!!! So much like The Cure (but better).
Anyone know the guitar chords for this one!?
Hey Ryan, it's mostly D, Am, C, G apart from sometimes being D Am Am G:)
Love from the world of Johnny Marr's 'ears' & Fender
Beautiful song. A lot of U2 influence in the riffs and beats. Where is this video shot? And keep rolling! Tc
Hey thanks Guarav, the video is shot on Maria Island off Tasmania (where we started the band).

I definitely thought I was hearing REM.
??????? what's with the microphone? maybe a tribute to feedback or not having what to invent to make a clip
Sounds like a Coldplay - Clocks ripoff.
