Fair play to neighbour's. They are the king of soaps for bringing back old characters. I honestly was beginning to think they had forgotten about glen? Dont think he has even been mentioned in 30 years???
I agree , or there turn up in home and away as a different character like Stefan Dennis was in river city when he was in the United Kingdom when he first left neighbours, I think few have been a regular on UK soaps the last I can remember was Marilyn from home and away being a regular in Emmerdale

They took it off on Fridays so the UK could catch up to us. Apparently by the end of the year they should caught up to us so hopefully when it comes back in Jan they will once again start showing it on Fridays. Fingers crossed anyway.
This is why neighbours is a special show, from the others,there bring back character ,20-30 years unexpected , regularly on the show

@@MoonSpinners Nope! It got shown years later when UK Gold used to have repeats of early Neighbours, but the BBC cut all the Glenn & Lucy scenes out back in 1990.
@@yaboym3247 ..I’ve never watched uk Gold, we couldn’t get it, I watched neighbours from episode one on terrestrial tv, and I remember distinctly the whole Lucy/Glenn storyline, it was so shocking at the time. The BBC may have edited SOME of the story line, but a lot of it was still in. If you don’t believe me, that’s up to you, but I’m right.

I named my goldfish after Todd when I was little. The other one was named Lucy also after the character in Neighbours 😆
@@Andrea-fe6dy I went to a store opening in Geelong where I lived and “Todd” was there with Con the Fruitier. Got a Photo and autograph with both.
@@mikejanson1939 That's great! I had to Google Con the Fruitier, as I hadn't heard of him (it's an Australian comedy, isn't it.) I don't live in Australia.
After a long wait he finally grew up into hunk in the show, He was the same age as me, until the perfectly healthy responsible careful father-to-be just unrealistically gets hit by a car.

Paul wasn't actually responsible for Glen falling off the Lassiter's roof that day so really Glen shouldn't be hating Paul like he's doing. Because it's not Paul's fault. It's Todd's. Because Todd should have helped Glen and he just let him fall. So this vendetta Glen feels towards his brother Paul was all about the day he fell off the roof at Lassiter's. Paul wasn't even there but Todd was. And so that story has now become clear as crystal now. Paul was not responsible for Glen's fall because he wasn't there. But Todd Beverly's nephew definitely was. So instead of blaming it on Paul. Glen seriously needs to go through that day properly and then apologize to Paul for spending 30 odd years blaming his brother for that fall when Paul ain't the blame at all.
In the UK, this would be a clear violation of the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974), as amended. Employers have a duty of care towards anyone who sets foot on their premises, whether employee, contractor or visitor. Paul should have provided appropriate safety equipment and training or, preferably, employed a professional to go up on the roof. As such, he would be liable for any injuries incurred. Presumably, WHS legislation in Australia has similar provisions.

It was stated that Paul was at least partly responsible as Glen was doing him a favour at the time. Also after Paul let his insurance policy lapse he tried to cheat Glen out of making a claim by trying to get him to sign a document surrendering his rights to take legal action.
Please save neighbours do not let it go
I don't know much of the storylines 30 years back but what I do know a little that Paul and Glen hated each other for a reason despite being half-brothers.
Besides, when I hear Andrew's name is mentioned, I was wondering when are they gonna bring him back.
It would great if Andrew comes back for a short time, temporarily or permanent. Who knows.
Andrew was only a baby back then. What this clip doesn't cover is Glen and Lucy's almost incestuous relationship. (I think they edited the storyline in UK as it was too risqué)

They are half brother and sister, so that won't happen.
They didn't revisit the incest storyline that was cut out in the uk

I don't remember from way back when I first saw this, but I think it is probably to keep him quiet and not sue Lassiter's for his accident, as they had no insurance to cover it. That would mean they would have to make a big settlement with him and perhaps get in a lot of trouble for not being insured. He was trying to get him to sign away his right to sue and then give him guilt money to keep him happy. Typical Paul Robinson, even back then!!

No. He was mistakenly diagnosed with a permanent spine injury but recovered after leaving.

Why are Neighbours bringing back all these old characters? Melanie, Amy, Jane and now Glen. Some new exciting characters and storylines is what's needed imo. I liked Amy until she started her three-way relationship with Ned and Levi. Jane is just always running around lokking after Nicolette and Melanie's just annoying- herself and Toadie are just silly. Will have to stop watching if things don't improve soon.
How long have you been watching?? As bringing back old characters is a constant that keeps fans that have been watching since the beginning keep tuning in for more..NOSTALGIA is always a winning ingredient ...😊
