I've watched this three times today. Surely the greatest comedy performance of all time. I'm self-isolating (for future viewers, it's March 2020 during the coronavirus outbreak) and have literally laughed out loud more times than any other video I've ever seen.
Surely the greatest comedy performance... You're on youtube and have access to actual comedy and you spend 3 hours on this? This is by admission designed to not be comedy and just there to get reactions based on how absurd it is. I really have a hard time getting into the headspace of someone who says "wow, look at how he shit on the floor, he sure got a reaction!" You must be a person of truly weak intellect and you're only getting worse after hammering your already weakened mind with this absolute feces over and over.
The perplexed looks on the faces of the audience members is great. They don't understand what they are seeing. This is like meta-comedy-satire. So goooooooddd.
the Phoenix Greyhound Park is such a perfect venue for Neil hamburger, haha. I went there once years ago to adopt a greyhound that used to be a race dog. It was a very depressing place.
Yeah.. Any place where elderly people go to smoke and gamble is usually a depressing place. Like the casinos in Black Hawk, Colorado. They make the casinos look all fancy, but you can polish a turd any way you like, it still reeks of death and sadness.
This is absolutely brilliant. Greg Turkington portrays Neil Hamburger as a bitter, aging performer, coughing up phlegm and hurling vitriolic insults at humanity in general. Absolutely great.
The guy with the Yngwie Malmsteen shirt....best part of the show. And thanks so much for posting this. This was my favorite era of his. I know you gotta evolve your act and all that, but I'm not that big on the loud & cantankerous version that he's been doing for a long time now.
So glad this is online for future generations to see. Back in the day we'd put this DVD on at house parties when things were dying down. It was like a raushack/litmus test for if i should sleep with this chick or not. It was okay to not get it, but they'd get the boot if they copped an attitude about how bad it was 😂😂
Definitely understand why he started incorporating a more shrill, intense voice for this character. I like the old Neil but the voice doesn't work nearly as well.
My favorite part is trying to figure out who in the audience actually laughs at some of the jokes. There's at least two dudes who will laugh at every gay joke unironically.
I get the humor I see what he's doing I like Neil But I don't think this is funny. It reminds me of my 50 year old coworker flirting with a 19 year old customers that he's "so sure has the hots for him." Poor guy. He goes full on at her, thinking their conversation is genuine. Not ever once realizing that she's just being polite. All she wants is her cigarettes and my coworker just keeps stalling, holding her there longer, so he can say she wanted to talk. It's that denial that makes it hilarious for me. The painful loneliness of a 50 year old man who has never had love attempting to relive the last 30 years of his life in a 5 minute interaction. I don't have that emotional connection with Neil here
You say you get what he's doing, and then you compare it to something that a person is not doing intentionally. You say it's not funny, and then you explain how it's not funny because it's like something which you claim is hilarious.
his whole act revolves around being repugnant and eccentric. To call this low-brow trash comedy is the equivalent of pissing on a canvas and calling it art.
@@hankworden3850 See this is what immersing yourself in witless "entertainment" gets you. That's the best you could come up with, to call me a crybaby. Which of course refers to someone lamenting, not ranting, so it isn't even contextual. If you had any intelligence or self-awareness you would see that the Neil Hamburgers of the world have turned you into them... Witless, humorless ignoramuses. ...But I bet fries in a cup send you into hysterics.

It's nice to see the comedians that dress professionally and tell proper jokes unlike the riff raff we have today.

This is perfect on so many levels. A fucking greyhound track..
5 bags of popcorn and a little greyhound muzzle for the kids

I've been watching Neil for a bit now but I still don't know what you mean by the meta thing. What's it all about?
You grown out of it yet?

It’s better quality sound and video than most, brilliant 🤩
50 minute set - Impressive
“Do what with a hamburger?”
If given the chance, I would slap that old man clear back to newyork where he came from lol.
"Come on guys, I have cancer."
Thank you!!!
thx for the upload my dude-ell-ino
The cuts to the stone faced people in the audience are beautiful

You are God for uploading this. Anti-comedy at it's finest.
Anyone else notice Neil’s voice circa 2003 is way different?
But thaaaat's his life!
Omg the guy in the front row with the yngwie malmsteen shirt is not having it lol
The confused laughter
The cap wearers must be regulars?
Classic

This is such classic hamburger
And he's the 'master of codes'...
God damn that place looks depressing.
his closer is "they make you shit in the urinals at columbine"
Wow
Different voice!
Turkington used his natural voice for the early years, then switched to his current voice in 2004.
OSCARS 2023
What an appalling place. Love the hamburger though

Nice burn
he sounds entirely different. much too young
oh, wait, this was 18 years ago! ffs
years on the road have taken a toll on Neil's voice.
Painfully awkward
This is worse than Vietnam
NO FORGIVENESS!
It's funny how the same people complaining about young kids and their "participation trophies" are the same ones talking about being a Vietnam "vet"
