you can not change the wheel size at the rear to 29 by only switching the shock strew, although it looks like. you need some other spareparts form canyon service team. after the modification with full 29 setup you get a chainstay option from 445 mm or 455 mm
Great choice and nice video! I got the same bike in November and love it! Brakes and bars were the only thing I changed and 100% agree with you on the fork. It’s brilliant! Did you have any issues with the headset coming loose? I ended up changing the headset and using locktite on the cups
Thanks buddy, love this bike 👌 Yup, spent about two hours playing about with headset spacers after fitting the mudguard on the fork to get the headset tight. That bit was not fun 😅
Hey...how tall are you? Thinking of getting the same bike. I'm 180cm and 470-475 is my prefered reach on my endurobikes for years now, so i'm just a bit between the sizes. Thank you! Oh,and nice video👍
Thank you buddy 👊 You can buy them mullet or full 29er so I went mullet out the gate 👌 I did put an Assegai tyre on the front, stock comes with DHR front and rear 👍
I’ve read a couple of reviews stating that canyon advise you should either buy the mullet or the full 29 version, and then stick with those wheel sizes. Apparently the fact that there are two settings available on the shock mount doesn’t mean you should flip between the two. Have you read similar or tried flipping between them?
Correct buddy, had another comment a long those lines so don’t think you’re supposed to switch the rear wheel out. Having said that, the flip switches are there so I reckon you’d get away with it 👍
just wondering, do you know of a dropper that would work well with this bike, because im looking to get one and want to install a dropper post with it, but not sure what one.
Never thought to put a dropper on a DH bike, there’s not much room to play with so would have to be minimal insertion depth. No idea if I’m honest, but sounds interesting, let me know if you make it work 👍🫡
How tall are you mate? I’m just over 6’2 and wondering if I could get away with a Large. The XL they do in the Full 29er is absolutely massive and I don’t fancy it.
Hi. Nice riding. I do not understand much about bike geometry, would like to ask about mulet setup from 29er. I couldn't find info at Canyon if that flip at suspension " allow " to swope wheel size. How bike fells after charging geo. and wheel sizes? Thanks in advance for info.
No worries buddy, thanks for the comments 👍 yes, the flip switch at the end of shock has two settings, one for a 27.5 and one for 29er, so that does allow you to change the rear wheel size/switch between 👍 I bought mullet from stock so only ridden in that wheel setup, I have played with the geo by having the chainstays in long (but now gone back to short…) so I think that’s the great thing about this bike, the geo is so adjustable you can keep tweaking until you’re happy with it 👌
@@ForestMountainBikerthose two settings on the suspension don’t allow you to change wheel size. It’s just a shared part between the full 29 and the mullet. It also have the effect of changing progression of the suspension platform (29er setting is higher progression). If you want to switch between the two wheel sizes then you should swap the whole rear end 👍 nice review otherwise
I'm very interested in this bike ,I've been riding Kenevo's for the last 4 years and I think I'm ready for my first Downhill bike , do you think it will be a similar fit sitting on the bike? Kenevo's are very raked out.
I ended up buying the same bike, I’m trying to set the front suspension up, could you give me some good high and low compression settings and high and low rebound! I feel if on a hard landing off jumps it seems to get a bit out of control, could it be the rebound is to quick? Thanks
Yeah buddy, I found the rebound on this fork to be quite strong so a couple of clicks makes a noticeable difference. Maybe try having all the settings in the middle and adjust from there, or a bit less rebound and maybe a bit more compression to soften landings 👍 It’s a great fork but took me some time to have it feeling the way I liked 👌
@@ForestMountainBiker thanks mate appreciate the reply, going to give this place a go love the natural stuff! Loving the sender too, on my bucket list that bike.
I can’t imagine where you progress from here, you’re already top flight. But will be cool to watch. Enjoy!!
Thank you 🙏

Im considering right now 3500 usd new from canyon usa ..but where i live its mostly enduro
That is a lot of bike for the money buddy… but a waste of money if you hardly ride it… tough one… good luck deciding 🫡

@@ForestMountainBiker ok thanks, haven't found much yet but I'm gonna keep looking.
@@ForestMountainBiker I found a few that would work, I think I'm gonna go with the oneup components v2 dropper though.

@@Woschti8203 you can change the headset to add more reach if that helps, comes as stock with the bike 👍
