Regarding the restaurant Morning Glory, Sonny featured it years ago when he was in Hoi An. He also ate at Nu Eatery and another place and they all looked delicious. There's another restaurant that other vloggers showed called Ba Le Whale that looked amazing as well. Good food can be found all over Hoi An, for sure. BTW, please be careful not to contaminate the chili sauce for others as sometimes I see you taking a bite, then dolloping the chili sauce on but you're using that same spoon to push the chili onto the wrap you just bit into. Either use another utensil to get it onto there or dollop the chili sauce onto it before wrapping...after biting into it, dollop using force but don't touch the bitten parts.
Great point there, Hangeroo. Just want to be clear here, that at Hy where I had the wraps, that bowl of chili sauce was almost empty and I cleared it with them first that I would be doing it and they assured me it was fine because it would be washed before being refilled again and it was taken away when the table was cleared.
Hoi An is super cute........But super touristy too. lol. Made for some great footage but way too many white people😂 I travel to avoid others that look like me😁 The food was fantastic though. As always, thanks for tuning in, Sadohr
This is 100% a correct statement. I will only scratch the surface of Vietnamese cuisine on this trip. But IO look forward to returning as soon as I can
I figured that out after filming this and dove a bit deeper into researching it. My initial research led me to believe it was considered a dessert and appears as such in several blog articles
Off to Hoi An next month. As the saying goes, 'Time spent in reconnaissance is seldom wasted.'That was 20 minutes of gold, can't wait to visit the Bahn Mi Queen, and no way I'm missing a visit to Morning Glory! Thanks heaps from NZ 🙏
Made with well-water in the middle of an urban center? All that flavor.😁 I think you're turning Asian. You are becoming a noodle expert. So many types.
Greetings from Canada! I followed your Vlogs from Thailand to Indonesia and enjoyed every one of them. I back watching your Vlogs again - you know life and other priorities sometimes takes over. I am surprised your wife is no longer in your vlogs. You have a local woman (red hair) in your vlog now......
HI Lee, good to see you again. Just an FYI, Angela and I were never married. And we split up over a year ago. Still good friends and talk regularly but it was time in our lives to go our separate ways. And the red head is not local to Vietnam. She is Filipina and we have been seeing each other now for a few months Very happy to have you back my friend
More Vietnam goodness! Been loving these pancakes here too particularly oyster pancakes. I was wondering if you guys would do the popular eating by the train tracks thing while a train runs right next to you and if the food is any good haha
I am in Hanoi now, JP. I have done train street and have some video of it. I didn't eat down there as the coffee was awful and you know how I go about no saying negative things on camera about establishments😁
14:22 : eating by the canal is cool , beautiful view. 15:56 : I think you should have chosen banh cuon , though banh xeo is good too . Banh cuon is very soft and tasty , just saying .
Banh Cuon was what I was looking for and this was all I could find. No worries though, I found it the next weekend in Hue and that will be next weeks video.😁
I am an American-Vietnamese and have tried both Madame Khanh and Banh Mì Phượng. I agree with you. Madame Khanh's banh mi is amazing way better than Bánh Mì Phượng. Any place Anthony Bourdain touch, it becomes golden but I have to disagree with him on the Bánh mì. Great report on Hoi An food scene.
The Hoi An people call that cake Banh Xoai ( mango cake ) not because it is made of mango , but because it has a mango shape . It's very confusing for everybody even for the Vietnamese from other regions of VN
Of course, but the Vietnamese also have a cornucopia of great food. I have not been to a country where the food is bad. You find bad restaurants and preparation but never bad food in general
@@PureDetour hello there again, dont worry abt ur stomach because if u aren't tryin the signature Viet super chilli sauce then its definitely not worth the trip
No offense Sir but Hoi An best Banh Mi in Vietnam as you proclaim is only for foreigners'taste. As a Vietnam born and bred also a good cook, Banh Mi Phuong and this one I find them mediocre.
Fair enough my friend. but I did not proclaim it, I said "depending on who you ask" and some of those I have asked that have said that Hoi An has the best Banh Mi in Vietnam have also been born and bred Vietnamese. What I did say was that of the ones I have eaten, which has been a lot since I got here, Madam Khan was the best I have had. I was not proclaiming it to be unequivocally the best Banh Mi in VIetnam

What a beautiful city Hoi An is! The lanterns are so colourful! Food as usual made me drool! Wonderful food tour!

@@PureDetour Lol...I understand! This will be on my top destination if I ever travel to Vietnam!
@@PureDetour indeed it does look very touristy, i see more foreigners than the locals but i would like to visit there one day
@@rosesintallahasseefl Me, too!
@rosesintallahasseefl, it is definitely worth as visit, despite how touristy it is. Hope you have an amazing time WHEN (not if) you get there.

Bana Hills very close by, ask local people how to get there.
Thank you my friend. I know where Bana Hills is. I have already left Da Nang and decided to do Marble Mountain instead of Bana Hills.
