Thanks! The front wheel is very easy to remove; only two bolts hold it in. The rear wheel is a little tougher but not impossible as it also has the motor cabling, and kickstand to deal with. TBH removing the rear wheel does not slim the bike too much, you may find it small enough with only the front removed!
My giant husband Six foot Six, medium build. He really likes the bike and wish it was made big enough for him to ride more than a couple block. He looked really cramped on the bike with his big feet, tippy toe on pedals. Very zippy ride! It’s fast enough. Good fun.
Consider this (potential) scene in a (hopefully never-gonna-happen) reboot of a certain timeless classic (I know - there exists the Y2K sequel).... Elwood: "It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a 36V 4.2Ah battery, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses." Jake: "Hit it."
It would help, but I would worry that pedaling this bike may be very uncomfortable for adults. I would imagine it would feel like riding a child pedal bike after zipping around on it, I felt like the villain from the SAW movies. A threat option to extend range if you don't mind spending the money is the extra battery, they are very small and light so it could easily fit in a backpack or messenger bag.
@rickyticky6915 I think you are pretty spot on, they would probably see an increase in sales for users that are on the fence at that price point. Since it is a new start-up with only one bike for sale maybe they will drop the price in the future.
@@W4TRI_Ronny The price will definitely be a sticking point with consumers, especially depending on how much use they get from the unit. We did find that the components are good quality and it feels solid and durable, so it is not cheaply made. But like the review says it's not for everyone and has its cons. For the right person, it could be a useful tool or at least a fun toy. Maybe the price is too high? What would you value it at?
JackRabbit was created by the founder as a Kickstarter campaign and the company is based in the USA. I have not seen the bike produced by another brand and I do not believe it is a white-labeled product. It is well-made, and I can tell you from our communication the brand stands behind the product and is dedicated to it! Whether it's the right fit for you is another question though, it's a different ride to say the least.
Haha I know right? Surprisingly fun to ride though for those willing to accept a few laughs. Funny enough they do make a slightly bigger version now! This was the Jackrabbit OG now they have a Jackrabbit XG too
Good question, The Jackrabbit has a total overall length of 48" with 20" wheels. Looking at this 16" kids bike www.trekbikes.com/ (Random Example) , it has a Wheelbase of 28.5" + approx 16" additional = approx 44" overall length. So it looks like the Jackrabbit may be a little bit larger in ride mode at 48" and about the same overall length in "folded" mode at 45"
I think this bike would fit the average 5' individual just fine, it was ok to ride at 6' tall and I can only see it getting better the smaller you are!
Best review I’ve seen. QUESTION: are the wheels easily removed? If so, maybe it could qualify to fly without an oversized bag charge?

great review. they need to find a way to ship it internationally!
Thanks Karim! We agree it would be awesome to have this shipped internationally. Currently it only ships in the contiguous USA.

I hope they come out with a pedal version of his bike to help increase the range

@@BikeRidecom thank you for your quick reply
Price point is should be $700. It’s a good last mike ride but they should have done a show & ride and get feedback on the price.

Hint on Price?
It's currently for sale on the JackRabbit website for $999.00 USD, check out the link on the review page www.bikeride.com/jackrabbit/#reviews
@@BikeRidecom That's Hilarious! Good luck with that!

@@BikeRidecom It has no value to me. Maybe ask the other people who commented. (Crickets)
Is this another eagle / motobecane MYSTERY brand?

The jackrabbit bigger than a kids 16 inch bicycle?
