So I've been eyeing the possibility of turbocharging my DD samurai. I've been keeping an eye on this build to see how it turns out as its the exact setup I'm wanting. Sniper BBD or 2CG, then a smallish intercooler, and a K03 is what I am thinking. Swapping the tank for the EFI one, and I have a 1.6 8v head that I want to use. chambers are the same size as the 1.3 and the 1.6 head has quite a bit bigger ports and valves on it and the EFI distributor is there as well, hopefully meaning I don't need to mess with locking out the carb distributor. No idea what it outputs for signal though soo thats kind of a crap shoot.
@@MonkeyWithAWrench I would definitely go with the Holley hyperspark ignition so that the computer can control the timing based on boost. Much safer for the engines longevity. Racing season just ended for me so I’ll be getting going on the turbo soon.
