One of my absolute favourite things is hearing people talk about things they're passionate about. And I've noticed you've talked to alot of very passionate and dedicated people on your channel. Whether it be toasters or mining or forgot towns you can always see the love and excitement that shine through when people speak.
Honestly, these little tidbits of history, they show so much about humanity at times in the smallest niche way. Thanks for recording that. I adore history lessons like this.
Not going to lie, the title didn't seem very intriguing at first from what you normally post Dustin, but wow! Who knew toasters could be so fascinating! Your introduction statement regarding documentary making was spot on in this case. Keep up the great random content!
Dude! Fab little doc. Your production, cinematography , subjects, interviews and music just keep getting better and better! One of the few channels that I smash "like" as soon as page appears.
Very interesting Dustin. Whoever gave this video a thumbs down 👎 you are probably a rebellious individual towards education of any nature. Well done again Dustin
This was unexpectedly fascinating! Frank is an endearing character, I could sit and listen to him talk about his collections all day. What a fantastic video! Your videography skills: A+ 😁❤️
Did you know, that just after electrical lighting, toasters were the first electrical appliances to be adopted in the average household (at least in urban North America).
Great story .... I only have 2 older open type toasters and one automatic slice down and pop up , in my collection and about 120 antique radios ....It is nice to see this old stuff , sometimes better built than today's stuff... The design was nicer too. Back then things could be restored or fixed , now it is in the garbage when they break down....
I love that every time I see it "Well Ya, OH man" just so funny. Wow amazing toaster collections never seen one of these old ones in my life time, so crazy how technology advanced through out the years.
What a great video I strangely found that really interesting. It's good that people collect things like toasters and kettle for future generations to enjoy.
Such an interesting topic….it was on my feed for a week, so I finally had a look. So intriguing….and this guy, so interesting and likeable. I’d really like to sit down with him and chat about Toasters! Subscribed now, hoping for more “Frank’s”. Rob, Tasmania, Australia
Production and cinematography are super. I can't say much more because I'm the "guy down in South Carolina" that according to him has the other half of the collection. Frank's great, knowledgeable and we both have a few toasters that the other guy doesn't have. Thanks for the coverage.
Just love these old toasters. I was given a very old working toaster from one of my husband construction client. Love old kitchen equipment. Love it when you interview people and learn of their history❤️ BC 🇨🇦
Well, that was random as heck. Just the same, very cool and as always, very well done. The ironic part is that I just sat down with some toast for a snack, clicked on the channel, and Dustin's got a video on toasters! That's just funny!
This Alaska highway “series” is probably my favourite of all your adventures. I’ve been on this similar trip in 2016 on my motorcycle and I remember having breakfast at the toaster museum cafe in Stewart BC while staying at the Ripple Creek. It was the wettest motorcycle trip I’ve taken. It rained from Whitehorse to Smithers BC. These videos are like taking that trip all over again. Thank for sharing your adventures, I love your channel and everything abandoned. Keep sharing!!!
Once you all have made toast you proceed to the next steps. Mayo and sliced onion along with s&p on one slice, tinned sardines on the other, slap them together. Best toasted sandwich ever.
Some of these designs are super cool! But personally, I don't even own one anymore. Toast in the pan is sooooo much better! As always, a masterfully done docu.
I love this. I have a new appreciation for a kitchen appliance I rarely give second thoughts to. I agree with the others...I could sit and listen to Frank's stories for hours. :)
I loved this story & I love Frank! What an interesting gentleman! I remember a toaster at my folks cabin, when I was little… it was a simple, metal device that you put 2 slices of toast on, it held them on a diagonal angle, then you put it on the griddle of the wood burning stove! Then, my job was to watch the toast & when it was ready, I had to alert my mom, so that she could come & flip the toast…awww…. The good old memories of the good ole days 😳👍 Now we throw it in the toaster & scream…is it done yet??? Thank you Dustin for letting me relive & remember those long forgotten memories 👍💋❤️❤️❤️
Wow random! This is what I like about this channel, an active imagination. It's sort of hit the nail right on the head. Ever since I was young I have picked up toasters thinking that one toaster with toast better than the next. My family often makes fun of me and will purchase me an old toaster for Christmas occasionally and I've bought posters for everyone in the family! Very nice content thanks
Who knew toasters could be so interesting? Thanks for this little snippet of fascinating visual history. I was also pleasantly surprised to see one toaster with the Pyrex logo on it, as I come from the city where Pyrex was invented (Corning, New York), and while I've seen my fair share of Pyrex plates, baking dishes and measuring cups (like my whole life), I'd never, not once, seen a Pyrex toaster - so thank you for that cool bit of information to tuck away too! Keep up the great exploring adventures, Dustin! It's been a blast so far!
Darn, I was hoping you would have got him inside talking about the history and what he likes about a few of his favorites. You could have definitely got a 45min doc out of that. Interesting little doc none the less.
Very cool! I’ve recently given up on modern appliances in favor of old ones built to last. 1924 Universal Coffee maker and a ‘27 Torrid Toaster. They both work great and will never break!
Your production quality has improved 10 fold. Amazing and these little local stories make it so much better! Would love to see something on the Coalmont hotel Keep up the good work
Great and interesting video, maybe you can stop and check in with Frank on your way back, and do another video with him ! This is an all round wonderful video to enjoy specially love the scenery, since I cant get out any more ! Thank you ! 👍🇨🇦✌️
Great job on this. That is interesting history in my backyard. Hope you continue this amazing journey around my part of the woods. Next time in Terrace maybe some fishing!
You do great captivating work, thank you!!! I was in Greenwood B.C. this summer, have you seen the toaster display/museum/collection there too? I was intrigued. Super cool town. LOVE what you do! Thanks again.
Collectors are a weird breed aren’t we? People either collect or they don’t. I have a guitar pick collection and a bunch of other random things (like milk ties-I use them for art) and almost no one knows about them but me 😂 oh and keys! See it’s weird 😂🙌🏽
My wife and I have a toaster made in 1919 that is been our daily toaster for over 30 years. I have a second one from 1920 as backup in case the 1919 one fails but that doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon, I guess I'll pass it on to my grandkids....
@@cyndicunanan400 Very true, but that's the exception these days. There was a time when even the most mundane things were created artistically, with pride.

I never thought I'd so excitedly click on a video about a toaster collection.
Never thought I would actually sit here and watch a video on someone’s toaster collection. But I think I want more!

Frank seems like a very interesting person. What a great niche item to collect and enjoy!
Very interesting Dustin. Whoever gave this video a thumbs down 👎 you are probably a rebellious individual towards education of any nature.
Well done again Dustin
EVERYTHING is Collectable - - - and talking with the person who collects it about the Finer Points never ceases to be Amazing
Yeah, I started collecting wedding mugs of people I don't know but the pickings are unfortunately pretty slim...
This was unexpectedly fascinating! Frank is an endearing character, I could sit and listen to him talk about his collections all day. What a fantastic video! Your videography skills: A+ 😁❤️
Not a negative response !

This episode was different but also very interesting. I love his toaster collection and loved the history of them. Great job 👏🏽

ok all that talk about Toast, and now I have to make some toast!
I'll never look at my toaster in the same manner again ! Fab video btw ...
So far you have not failed, to peek my interest.
Wow! What an interesting archive of food preparation technology?
Back when toasters actually toasted .
I could. watch this over and over.Amazing collection. someday I would like to meet Frank

The video I didn't know I needed. Loved every minute of this. I love antiques and collectibles and learning the stories behind them.
Great Stuff ! Never stop learning and exploring all avenues .
Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed it. Please do more, you have a eye and ear for interesting subjects.
This is awesome ❤️ I absolutely LOVE history.
PS very well shot and edited Dustin!!!

oh my gosh they are just beautiful... thank you for choosing to share his story with us Funcle Dustin.
This was great..thanks for exploring and finding interesting stuff like this.
wow, I swear...you are the only guy in the world that can make a video about toosters interesting! Just fantastic work in getting your stories out!
Now I'm going down a rabbit hole of old appliances it looks like. Cool vid

How cool is that!! Very interesting. I don’t own one myself. I use the broiler in the stove. Thanks for a very cute story

As always enjoyed your video
I have an old toaster from the 1920's. It still works, and is our backup for when the modern one fails.
That was very interesting!
I had no idea collecting toasters was a thing!
Love your channel Dustin!
Stay safe!!
That was just so fascinating!
My eyes bugged out at the sheer number of toasters, the different varieties... This was unexpectedly cool!
Darn, I was hoping you would have got him inside talking about the history and what he likes about a few of his favorites. You could have definitely got a 45min doc out of that.

I didn’t think toasters could be so interesting 🧐

Craving toast now
I can smell it 👃😁
This is so different from the regular content, but really, really good!
Im the guy from San Francisco hahahaha!! Great to see some of your collection and see the toaster that you are taking such great care of :)
Frank looks suspiciously like Tony Stark. Those toasters are being gathered for a reason.
We had a toaster that you set on top of stove burner. It held 4 slices and you had to manually turn them...OUCH!
I have one I use for camping! Love the way it toasts.
Who would be the one person to dislike this? Who doesn't like toast...
Pretty awesome video, wish it was even longer!
You did right , great story thanks for sharing 😁😁😁
another great video. this one makes me wonder how many places and subjects didn't make the channels cut. a second channel would solve that.
Have you though about selling merch again?
These are works of art.
Neat ! I wonder which one they used for the first Pop Tart test ? That would be a historic event. Thanks for sharing. 👏
Well guess next trip is to greenwood bc, theres a huge toaster display in a building on main street
I just watched a video about toasters.
Wow lol
Great stuff.
Collectors are a weird breed aren’t we? People either collect or they don’t. I have a guitar pick collection and a bunch of other random things (like milk ties-I use them for art) and almost no one knows about them but me 😂 oh and keys! See it’s weird 😂🙌🏽
My heart go out to you ❤❤❤

So awesome, how do you find theses places. Thanks again for sharing
I was waiting for this video since you told us about it!😂 Yessssssss
Nice 👍
My wife and I have a toaster made in 1919 that is been our daily toaster for over 30 years. I have a second one from 1920 as backup in case the 1919 one fails but that doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon, I guess I'll pass it on to my grandkids....
Been there! And, it was a great place to eat as well.
These are fantastic, why don't we make things with pride of craftsmanship any more?
Because we live in a disposable consumer'istic society now, unfortunately.
I don’t know, if you go to upscale kitchen stores you can find some really beautiful appliances that do amazing things. You get what you pay for.

Loved this one!
Awe man I wish I knew about your channel while you were in Rupert/Terrace area I would have showed you works channel, some pictographs, Robin town/Kitsumkalum IR#2 and frizzle hot springs
Thanks!

Wow, this was fascinating
