    Hello from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹, I regularly view this channel I find it very amazing how these men use primitive tools and methods to repair heavy and extra heavy equipment with utmost efficiency they are master craftsman, we in the west has gotten so use to using specialty tools and this art has been forever lost in the west, in the west we don't have skilled repair men like in Pakistan instead we have men who change parts they order from store or catalog and replace, also is this a company or is this how it is done throught Pakistan? And lastly what part of Pakistan is this.thank you. Keep posting videos.

    To all the people saying that they wish North America was more like this as we are so wasteful, just keep in mind that if you could pay somebody peanuts to do the job and allow them to work in a dirt floored hut in sandals with no ppe then we could probably do the same thing. The other thing to keep on mind is usually by the time the lining is worn out the springs and metal are all fatigued and heat stressed and probably not worth the risk of reusing as the time to get it out and back in can be significant. Nothing against these guys the do the best with with what they have and you do what you have gotta do. But I would like to think that if you offered them the equivalent of what we have here they would be happy to upgrade...

      Only at one time here in America, they sold rebuilt clutches, and might still be able to. Last one I bought was rebuilt, it had a core charge for the old clutch. So, obviously there was still good parts on it, only thing they didn't do here was replace the springs, but then those aren't always so bad they need replacing. All the springs do is cushion the grab between the pressure plate and flywheel anyways. It does not prevent clutch plate grab, just cushions it.

    May be different in Pakistan but clutches manufactured in the last 20 or so years have not been lined with asbestos. Brake shoes/pads are in the same boat. There could be a possibility of exposure to asbestos if you are working on an older vehicle that hasn’t had the clutch or brakes serviced within the last 20 years. There's a place in Damascus, Oregon United States that will resurface clutches like this(Automotive Friction Co). It's an affordable option if you go through clutches during racing and want custom friction materials.

    Its cheap but i have a question, even in SUVs sometimes the clutch plate springs fails and in this case its a truck and have more torque then how much safe this re-used clutch plate will be?

    • @MVP11489
      @MVP11489 4 роки тому +7

      @@HassanAchieved He reused the center section of the clutch disc and relined it with new friction material. Hes asking about the springs in the center, as it is what's referred to as a spring hub. The splined center can rotate slightly from the rest of the clutch disc to make the clutch have a smoother engagement. Sometimes those springs inside the sprung hub do break. I guess if they are still good, they just run it. If they are bad, I dont know if they have the capability of replacing them, but knowing them, they'd probably drill out the rivets and take it apart to change the springs if they are bad. I mean, ya gotta do what ya gotta do lol

    Hallo from Texas USA. good job. that is the disc of the clutch. The plate is the pressure plate. were the spring's located. Thanks

    • @nigelbarton8350
      @nigelbarton8350 4 роки тому +4

      Might be what you call it in US but in the UK that is generally referred to as the clutch plate, or friction plate, or even driven plate. The outer part is called the pressure plate as you say, or sometimes the clutch cover.

      actually, you can, hence the core charge on maintenance items like clutch disks and brake shoes, if you're even a tiny bit resourceful you could do it yourself too, asbestos isn't used on brake parts anymore so ignore the ignorant idiots

    In the USA it is required you have a Ph.D., 5 certifications, proof of working 12 years in the area, and be a professional before you attempt to do work like that and be careful you pitch a finger because it will be your fault for not following safety procedures; hence insurance company will not pay your hospitalization of 2 weeks, without mention your psychological disorder you might have when you see the hospital bill.
