HANDS DOWN this scene has been my absolute favorite since the beginning of this anime. Not Tanjiro no Uta, not Rengoku’s fight, not Uzui&co. vs Gyutaro, not Nezuko’s demise… this one. This absolute piece of art. The fantastic setup with the longest we’ve been hearing Ubuyashiki talk since the first time, a person completely destroyed by his illness, but still with such a strength to be able to appear completely calm and harmless to the king of demons, just before going out in a literal blast… such a good scene.
Yes it's my favorite too. Especially with the paralell between muzan and ubuyashiki that; the ubuyashiki family has passed down their will to defeat muzan for 1000 years, and that will lives on until his demise, while muzan fights alone and as ubuyashiki called out, if muzan dies then his will dies with him. There's noone to care for him unlike Kagaya, the whole bloodline of the Ubuyashiki family has absolute resilience. Even knowing they can't live past 30 they still choose to live out their lives for this single purpose. It's beautiful. Muzan is a sad man. What kind of life is he even planning to live once he can walk in the sun?

This song has 12 verses, and the 12th verse has the lyrics, "12 and 12, dance 12 Kagura dances, dance 12 to the god of the year, dance 12 to the god of the year." 「12とや12の神楽を舞いあげて舞いあげて歳神様へ舞納め舞納め」The meaning of these lyrics is to dance 12 dances and offer them to the god of the year. Spoilers included! → I came up with a hypothesis from these lyrics. What do you think of when you hear "12" and "Kagura"? That's right. It is "Hinokami Kagura" and "the number of breathing forms of Tanjiro's Hinokami Kagura" that have been passed down for generations in Tanjiro's family (Kamado family). Tanjiro has created many breathing forms. When all 12 breathing forms were completed, Tanjiro completed the 13th breathing form. I felt that Ubuyashiki Kagaya and his family somehow knew that this would be a great move to defeat Kibutsuji Muzan, and that the children were singing it as a prayer. This story is sprinkled with little bits of traditional ideas and songs that even Japanese people would be surprised by, so I commented that I would like everyone overseas to know about it! I'm not good at English, so I use a translator. I'm looking forward to the upcoming Infinity Castle arc!!! I'm excited!

The final stage of grief is acceptance. They definitely knew what was going to happen. If you remember the young temari ball demon, in her last moments all she wanted to do was play with the ball one last time. These girls also wanted joy one last time but they were at peace. I think just like how Ubuyashi never let slip his deep well of hatred to muzan in his life they were also trained to restrain their negative emotions and have already grieved. Their whole family is probably trained like that because of the deadly grudge that cursed their family
In the manga it's revealed that the girls wanted to help distract Muzan, they volonteered. Kids in the Ubuyashiki family mature very quickly due to their short life span (Kagaya became the leader at the age of 4), which is why these girls made this decision. And no, the Ubuyashiki family is not done for, Kagaya had quintuplets (5 kids at once) so he has 1 son and 2 more daughters who didn't die in the explosion.
This children's song has lyrics about the numbers up to 12, and at the end it says, "We will dance 12 Kagura dances and offer them to the Toshigamisama（歳神様）." This is thought to be related to the fact that Hinokami Kagura is basically made up of 12 different techniques. Toshigamisama is a god who comes to bring happiness to people in the New Year,and the eldest son of the Kamado family has offered Hinokami Kagura to the god on New Year's Day for generations. Therefore, I think this theory is very plausible.
