Thanks for that. I seem to remember hearing Coachman had been sold/taken over. Do you know by whom? I was wondering about its sustainability if it produces "only" 2,000 vans a year.
Kabe of Sweden now owns it was once owned by Elddis to who were in turn once owned by abi caravans ! They make around 2200 a year which lunar should have stuck to and got quality right but went into 3 k not a good idea you can check out my coachman company history video 35 years of coachman
@@caravanindustryexpertandyjenk The thing is that I suspect Coachman use the traditional wooden frame with walls and roof attached whereas companies like Swift, Elddis & Bailey use modern building techniques without wood etc, in an attempt to reduce weight and hopefully reduce damp ingress. I am wondering about what they will be like in, say, 7-8 years time, though most people accept that Coachman, at least historically, have been well put together.
@@raymondporter2094 they use a bostick glue and they have modernised the construction bailey though have restricted their profiles plus the same Oleg cream grp interior wall finish has been used for 12 years !
