Great video and some good points well made. I have a Bailey Orion 430 and in some ways i think your discovery is in the same sort of class, not only are they both entry level vans, but something a little different and quirky to the caravan norm. I have added a few extras you mentioned such as a solar panel and external gas/240v points and its made it feel just that little bit more special! Keep up the good work and enjoy👍🏼
Thanks Ollie. Glad you're still very happy with your c'van. Impressive that even the clock matches ! Like you, I keep our c'van very light when towing. * All clothing & food in the car. * The heavy provided table has even been put permanently into store ! Incidentally, have you drained the water down for the Winter say using the Floe device ? 👍
Hi Martin, to be honest I drain down every time I leave a site anyway but no, I have never used the Floe. Never had an issue with just opening the taps and letting the water dribble out. Thanks for watching, Oliver
Great to hear your likes & dislikes plus improvement suggestions. I would be really interested to see how you set up the double bed please. I can’t make the cushions fit at all! Many thanks
Hi there, when I made the bed up in the discovery I turned the main two cushions over then used the back rests in the middle. They do overhang a llttle though. Hope this helps, Oliver.
@@CaravanningwiththeCoxs thanks for replying Oliver. Yes that’s how we’ve been doing it too, but I don’t like the overhang & thought I was missing a trick! We will live with it though. Best regards, Catherine.
Great review, Lovely van, we're limited to 1000kg max load based on our current car. We saw the 2024 model recently and nothing much appears to have changed 👍
Hi Oliver, OMG time has flown by. I am glad you are pleased with your Bailey. I am shocked that it doesn't have the Alko wheel lock receiver as standard most Insurance Companies insist on this being fitted and used. Enjoy and Merry Xmas. Phil🙂👍
Thanks for watching Phil. As the caravan is valued a lot less Alko Secure wasn’t required for my insurance but I did choose to use two wheel clamps but one would have been fine. Happy Christmas, Oliver.
its a shame theres not more bespoke options from the manufacturers. id also think its good for real owners to have some input in their design. the cost of vans now are so expensive that we want them to be perfect.
Hi Phil, to be honest other than the mentioned front table being wobbly which wasn’t a warranty issue but my own doing it’s been very reliable. Flew through its first service with no problems and the damp test was all good.
@@martinkitchin6204 hi Martin they were a new carpet as it was shedding powder off the bottom all the time the rest was body issues one being a repaired crack in the rear panel a hole in the resin on the rear panel and the rest were areas that wasn’t clear clear coated they all been approved and being done on the first service.
I very much doubt you are considering buying one of these caravans, I am not sure why Olivers review puts you off owning one, I thought it was a very honest review from someone who has spent a lot of time in it and if you were considering buying one not sure what Oliver has said that puts you off, but that is just my thoughts.

Thanks for watching! The Orion is a great van and sounds like you’ve done some nice modifications too.
Thanks Ollie.

You've had plenty of use of your Discovery, it is a nice looking van. Good review.
Great video, very informative 👏

It does seem like a great van but some good ideas for improvements 👍

Hi !
What were the six issues you had with your new Swift please and were they resolved by the dealer ?
Thank you.

How much was it ?
You’ve put me right off ever owning one of them.
Assume you’re just being facetious.
Why?
