My mate moved from Derby to Dingwall about 6 years ago and last week showed me a rough road route from the back of Coul House hotel in Contin (where we were staying) up to the slab where youre starting these runs from. Only got to ride a couple of those lines as it was a family holiday rather than a MTB trip, but he also took me to a bike park style DH track that some kind farmer has paid a pro track builder to construct in Dingwall just so the locals have somewhere to ride. It has zero facilities but the track is beautifully constructed, has good ride up tracks and is well worth a visit.
Last trail was actually shawshank and one before was goat trail not Dutch rudder. Dutch is a must. Some decent gaps and drops on it. Also a jump line and a few others you missed
Trail Wanderer I’ve never tried 29 myself so can’t compare it unfortunately! I’d be keen to try as most bikes are now 29, but personally I’ve always been happy with 27.5. I’d be scared a 29er would feel less playful, what do you think?
Jack Aldred I love them but they definitely lack the fun and agile feel of 27.5, my fear is going back to 27.5 and getting hung up on things on my usual lines? It’s a hard one for sure
@@j.a.mjamiesadventuresmount5594 I think for that reason alone I'd likely never get a 29er enduro bike. If and when I get myself a downhill bike again then 29 might be the way forward as it'll be better at just ploughing through everything! But I like having a nice playful enduro bike 👌 Renting bikes out for the day from bike shops may be the way forward though, just to get a feel for the wheel size before committing to a purchase!

Winging it with style and speed Jack. Great work as ever😎😎😎
Thanks dad 😎
You got the skills man, making some of the tech bits look easier than I find them :)
That looks decent like, after that sneaky gap it just looks like you're weaving through trees as you please 😂 great video 🤙
Was great fun mate 😁 Thanks very much!
Sick video as always Jacko
Cheers Cookie 😘
My pleasure lad

Ah thanks for the clarification. Shame I missed the jump line!!
content in contin! big ups
Ledge! 👊
Really enjoyed that. First trail doesn't look like a black. Maybe more red. Could be different in person of course. Subbed to see what you do next
Thanks mate! You’re right, I was just going off what trail forks said, they’re all probably reds in my opinion! 🤘
Trailforks insists any non official trail must be graded black
Are you on the sentinel mate ? Love your channel too mate excellent work
Ah thanks very much buddy😊 I’m riding the patrol, really liking it too!
Jack Aldred how you finding 27.5? Been toying with the idea of heading back to them haha 😂
