- Officials at the Food and Drug Administration are taking precautions in case the current strain of bird flu spreading in the U.S. jumps to humans on a large scale. The FDA commissioner testified on Capitol Hill Wednesday, saying the threat to humans is still low, but the agency is working to shore up countermeasures. Thank you! I'm not going to be a very pleasant person to be around if this jumps from animals to humans because people are actively choosing, and it is a CHOICE, to ignore the atrocities associated with "animal agriculture."
I was gonna say that we wouldn't even have civilization as we know it without the use of animals for the purpose of human flourishing - but it's worse than that. Even nomadic savages heavily relied on animals to survive at all.
We'd be living like wild animals if you all had your way - basically. The whole notion of being a vegan is a thoroughly luxurious, modern and affluent conception.

Also raw milk cost little compared to processed milk to produce, but gets a premium price because they know people will pay it. Also, in processing is where they add the things cows milk dont have, like vitamin D.
