- In this variant of the refund tech support scam, these scammers are calling claiming your firewall security services were either just renewed or need renewing. The end game is simple, to gain access to your computer and steal your money. I think not.

I think it takes a high level of emotional intelligence to do that successfully. I'm not sure I could last five minutes because what they are doing makes me so angry.

There is one where Kitboga gets the 'found drugs in your car on the Texas boarder' scammers. And he immediately pleads guilty and starts asking how much they found, then says stuff like 'whew, that's good, at least they didn't find the stash in the ...". Quite a funny one, too.
Definitely, continue those charges!

They're not technically a scam. You do get a "product", only it's overpriced and useless (can't reach anyone if you ever need to) and the company can disappear overnight.
There's bad products...then there's scams. 🤷
Every time I answer their question, they hang up immediately. Doesn't matter if I give them a real vehicle make/model/year, doesn't matter if I give a fake one, and it doesn't matter if I point out that if they know my "warranty" is expiring then they should know what vehicle it belongs to -- they get a response and instantly end the call. I haven't figured out their angle on that scam yet.

Has anyone been getting calls from amazon? I keep getting calls saying that my purchase needs to be confirmed. Then I talked to someone and they barely can speak English and they can't tell me anything because it's confidential. Not sure what this is all about but I've gotten probably a dozen phone calls in the last month

I just did my first scammer prank. I was all serious though. I genuinely pretended to be concerned about the 22 bank accounts and an abandoned Toyota Corolla with drugs in it.. all under my name and SS number.
Ended with the scammer boi being mad at me for asking too many logical questions. I managed to waste an hour of his time. 😆
