  • For over a decade, professional driver shortage has become a chronic problem across Europe and it is getting worse. Increasing lack of drivers is a real threat to EU mobility and supply chains and, hence, to the EU’s economy as a whole.
The problem has solutions and young drivers are at their heart. Join IRU and leading figures from EU institutions such as Director-General DG MOVE Henrik Hololei, governments, drivers, shippers and the wider road transport industry to debate three key topics:
Barriers to entry: Can we unblock obstacles for young people and broaden the driver pool?
Working conditions: How do we improve the driver experience?
Industry Image: Is looming automation an opportunity to attract new talent?
