  • Analysis of #vibrations during operation of the cooling #fan station
    An impact test was carried out to determine the natural #frequency of the structure supporting the cooling fan system. The test result showed a fan structure vibration of 24.4 Hz. For the determined frequency, the characteristic deformation of the fan plate was observed.
    Recordings made while the unit was operating at an engine speed of 1412 rpm confirm the characteristic deformation of the fan housing. The dominant vibration frequency during fan operation is 23.53 Hz, which coincides with the first rotational speed. The correlation of the natural frequency of the fan housing and the fan operating frequency suggests operation of the system at a resonant frequency, which causes deformation of the structural plates.
