Such a wonderful video! I’ve been an Eagle Scout for 11 years now, and I am very proud of it. It’s a lot of work to get to the rank. You really have to push yourself, and be determined to do the work. It took me a little over six years to make it to Eagle. I pushed myself, and stayed positive and determined. After a lot of hard work, I made it to the top.
Congratulations to you. It's definitely something to be proud of. That is why I admire this program so much. The Scout has to do the work, when it comes down to it, the parents really can not do the final step - Eagle Project. It all is up to the Scout, and if they've been mentored properly they won't want to give up. Realizing this is all for them, to become good citizens and have life skills they can take with them through the rest of their lives. Again, quite an accomplishment. Thanks for watching, Congratulations on your Rank of Eagle!
Congratulations! It’s quite an achievement! It can be frustrating knowing the general public doesn’t have a clue the years of commitment that’s required! I feel it makes the achievement even more gratifying to the Scout for sticking with the program! Way to go!!
Congratulations! Great accomplishment! I hope you will consider having a Court of Honor. It will acknowledge your wonderful achievement & hard work, younger Scouts will realize they can make it to Eagle too, & it also will give you an opportunity to thank all the folks who have helped you on your trail to a Eagle. Way to go! Keep flying high!
I believe you are correct,. That is why there is a patch for the pocket, to let folks know you are a part of the OA. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I recently joined at 16 years and 8 months old, I turn 17 next month. I have my court of honor in the middle of this month, and so far I’ve achieved scout and I should be done with tenderfoot soon. Do you think I can become an eagle? Also, could I have time to have some fun and earn badges?
Congratulations on joining Scouts BSA. You can earn whatever merit badges you would like, some have prerequisites, but for the most part, find the ones you like to do and get with your Merit Badge counselor and let them know. I need to let you know there are 2 types of Court of Honors. One is the "Troop" Court of Honor which is for all the Scouts who earn their achievements over 4 or 6 months. Then there is an "Eagle" Court of Honor that is only for the Scout who has earned his Eagle Rank. For this achievement, since you are turning 17 years old, you will NOT have enough time to earn your Eagle Rank. Once you make it to First Class, there is a minimum of 16 months to become an Eagle. 4 months as a First Class, 6 months at the Star Rank, and 6 months at the Life Rank, plus an Eagle Project, and have earned all 21 Merit Badges, (14 of which must be Eagle Required). The Eagle required Merit Badges have silver threading around the badge. Hope this helps to understand the process. You will still have a lot of fun and enjoy your time in Scouting with all the camping and new friends you will make. If you get an opportunity please sign up for the Summer and/or Winter camp if offered in your area. These are a BLAST! An obtainable goal would be to get all the way to First Class Rank. You can do this!!! Keep going! Thank you for commenting and watching the videos.
I feel you man, I was a cub scout back in 2015 but I dropped out due to family issues and I’ve missed it since. I re-joined scouts at 16 and 3 months. I am working on Tenderfoot, Second and First class currently. I have about 1 month left to get First Class or I wont be able to make eagle. Which I probably wont get due to many scouts in my troop being lazy (I only have a troop of 5). But something I have learned is Eagle scout isn’t everything. Yes its something good to achieve and you should be proud of it. But I’d rather go down a proud heart scout that made awesome memories than being upset about not making eagle. It’s been my dream since ever to be an eagle but you know… Its more about the experience than a patch. Have fun man. Make memories and learn. Maybe after scouts you can join venturing which is 14-21 and you can earn the highest rank in there. Good luck man. Have fun. Make Heart Scout, join order of the arrow, get lots of merit badges which is still a big accomplishment. ❤
