As for Armstead, I'm both a Jags/9ers fan and I for one can tell you though some 9ers fans won't agree that when Armstead was in for the 9ers, the defensive line was firing on all 4 cylinders, when he was out, they weren't
Caldwell seemed in over his head from Day 1...I am glad he is gone. Nielsen will do a MUCH better job...Scheme will turn Travon and Devon Lloyd loose...and Arik Armstead will be a big addition as well. I also think that in- game adjustments by the D will improve as well. If Davon can get back to becoming an ascending player that would be BIG too...we got almost nothing out of him last year...would love to see him become a break out player.
Good episode I think that we can have a top 5 Defense this year if everyone can get on the same page
