I have only had one 160 gsm notebook which I just bought - a B5 Notebook Therapy (after I watched your review of the Tsuki). O M G .. I am so in love with it. I haven't ever had a B5 but I absolutely ADORE IT !! AND it makes the perfect blogging planner for me.It is just such a gorgeous notebook. I dont care about pen loops because I don't even seem to use them. Its so gorgeous and I love it so much I literally went and ordered 2 more. The price omg. It is literally my favorite notebook. I have a Rhodia A5 for work, and a Rettacy for my mental health journal (super cheap and the pages fall out LOL ... but I love how smooth the paper is) .. i recommend Notebook Therapy - they are definitely a huge winner for me.
I have an archer and olive right now (my first 160gsm notebook), and I’m planning to try notebook therapy for the second half of the year.
One of my favorites is the Scribbles That Matter journal, also with 160 gsm.
The Maisie Lane is so lovely, but the dark dots would drive my crazy. I started with Archer & Olive notebooks and I don’t know if I will ever be able to switch not.
I just found out that apparently the one I received had a manufacturing fault so they are normally lighter! The Archer & Olives are so great right??

Thank you for including the cost in your reviews/comparisons! I live in Scotland and for a long time I was tempted to get an archer and olive nb but the total price is out of my budget, especially if there is an extra charge for customs. Good to know that there are retailers that sell them in the U.K. though. I recently ended up buying 2 notebook therapy nb and I'm so excited to use them in the future!
This is by far the BEST notebooks comparison i've watched, it was super informative and i loved the fact you even put the prices for shipping and codes and even the time it could take to arrive. I bought a notebook therapy but unfortunately i think it's not going to arrive in time 😥 but it was my fault for not looking how it could take to arrive (i was just figuring out it would be a month). The fact archer and Oliver have a list of retailers is so nice. I’ve been using them for the last three notebooks I’ve had but I’m getting very tempted to try the notebook therapy for my next one.

This is an amazing video and really well shot & edited. I found it really helpful for choosing my next notebook. I’m currently using my first ever bullet journal from Papier, but the paper quality is really disappointing and I’m getting ghosting on every page. It was a gift so I’ll continue to use it, but I have a Notebook Therapy one up next which is really exciting. I think I’ll go for a Maisie Lane or Archer & Olive next. The AmandaRachLee ones (even though I like her) aren’t my aesthetic. Thank you so much, Temi! Xx

I have the tsuki bunny bujo by notebook therapy as well and it's my favourite bullet journal!! the design is sooo cute and the quality of the paper is amazing - and I've tried a lot of different brands!! I also love the bunny paperclip, it's the cutest 🥺🐰

I order a bullet journal from notebook therapy last week after I saw your video showing the gold one I had to have it. So I’m excited to use that journal as my Christian bullet journal once it arrives lmbo I have the archer and olive one as well but haven’t opened it in months only used it one time but I will start using it again. So yes I do think you’re on point with this video. It was great!

Very informative video. The Notebook Therapy’s price and everything are right but the lack of numbered pages would be a deal breaker for me. However I think I’d try out the Amanda Rach Lee notebook after looking at this review!

I'm currently using AmandaRachLee for my 2021 bujo. I went to Maise Lane, but all the journals are sold out except for one color. Luckily couriosity made me click on the Sample Sale Journal tab. It's their "scratch & dent" section. I bought a journal for half the regular price. I customized the journal with my name. I'm looking forward to getting my journal.

I didn’t know there was a treat in the pocket! I’m cooking dinner, but all I want to do now is pull out that notebook and see what’s inside the pocket! Think my family will mind the delay? 😂

It’s a pretty bookmark, which I’m so excited about! Thanks for the tip - I literally never would have found it or known to look for it otherwise.

I watched this video earlier this week and went right over to Notebook Therapy and ordered the starry night notebook journal. Maizilaneco is sold out of every color I liked. I have the others. Vivid Scribbles now has 160gsm paper. There 140 gsm is nice also. My Archer & Olive 160 gsm undated planner was a huge disappointment. My Tom bow duel tip brush pen in bright blue not only bled through the page I was working on but also the page below it. Same thing on pen test pages.
Would have liked the pen loop to be included in the design scoring but overall a super helpful video!

(I have a review and the set up in my channel if you’d like to check it out), I’m loving it so far!! and I still have to try the STM which looks pretty awesome, but I’ve seen some say that the paper is too absorbing and doesn’t take the markers that well so, I still have to see for myself!

No, I haven’t tried it but they do look like a nice affordable option.
I find edge gilding/tinting sometimes causes me to miss pages as they stick together.
lol I wish I found your channel earlier; I fell in love with one of the Notebook Therapy designs and ordered my next notebook without doing any research. It’s good to know that I’m getting a good product! That being said, almost $50 for a notebook seems absolutely insane. Are there any European based stationery companies that would be less expensive to order from? All of these notebooks seem very reasonably priced until you have to shell out $$$ for international shipping. I’m in Germany and my previous bullet journal was a Scribbles that Matter, which was about 20€ on Amazon. The paper in that notebook was also 160gsm but it was weirdly absorbent and feathered like crazy. Anyway I’m so happy I found your channel and I can’t wait to watch more videos!
I bought my notebook from Scribble & Dot who are a UK based company. Their dotted notebooks are about £15 and 160GSM, although the paper is more ivory than white. I decided to go with them as this was only my second attempt at bullet journalling and I wasn’t 100% committed so I didn’t want to spent over £30 for a notebook. I also really wanted a notebook that had numbered pages so they fit the bill for me.

@@Anna-oj6sk Auf Notebook Therapy hab ich nur 25€ oder so für den Journal bezahlt. Obwohl er relativ günstig war, musste ich fast eine ganze Monate auf die Lieferung warten, was mehr nervig als ein großes Problem war. Wenn man einen der anderen im Video kaufen will, dann ist es jedoch wegen der Versand extrem teuer.
Ich hab auch oft große Problems beim Zoll, wenn ich etwas aus den USA (meine Heimat) bestelle. Mein Paket wird für mehrere Monate im Frankfurt Flughafen festgehalten und in diesem Zeitraum bekomme ich gar keinen Brief, der sagt, dass ich die Zoll bezahlen muss bzw. wie ich sie bezahlen kann. Schließlich bekomme ich einen Brief, der sagt, dass der Packet wegen der unbezahlten Zoll leider nicht zustellbar ist. Das ist fast immer passiert, wenn ich etwas von einer kleinen ausländischen Firma kaufe (z.B. Archer and Olive oder ShopAmandaRachLee), also kaufe ich wirklich am liebsten von europäischen Firmen.

You've probably already chosen a journal, but Maisie Lane Co claims that "the semi-smooth paper makes writing with a fountain pen effortless". I've seen reviews with people writing with a fountain pen and they have said they love how it feels when writing and there is no feathering. Hope this helps :)

This is weird... I just saw another comparison video like yours and on the "bleeding/ghosting" test - Maisie Lane was one of the BEST, there was even almost NO ghosting 🤷🏼♀️ You guys probably used different pens/markers/etc. 🤔 Ughh... now I'm unsure which one to buy. I actually decided to buy a Maisie Lane one but your "bleeding/ghosting" - test PLUS I didn't know that it is thicker than the other ones, makes me think to buy another one. This is SO hard to decide, there are SO many journals on the market ://

I just thought that notebook therapy had more ghosting than all other ones or am I confused?
The shopamandarachlee is my favorite out of these and it has numbered pages which is a huge plus. I've got mine all set up for 2021 already. My archer and olive didn't hold up for the 6 months I used it. The glue binding the text block split and one bookmark fell out. That being said I do glue in extra pages so it gets thicker but that was still disappointing for the price.
