“Kindness won’t save me so I’ll get stronger” Man, I can’t lie. I got chills. Sawano and A-1 delivered a masterclass.. the boss fight was immaculate and I felt every bit of Jinwoo’s anger, sadness and insecurity in that final strike. His seiyuu did an amazing job. Taking down the golem that other top hunters were struggling with in just 1 throw.. that dungeon really has completely changed the trajectory of Jinwoo’s life. Can’t wait to see where he goes from here.. he won’t be getting mocked for being weak anymore that’s for sure..
When he said that I felt that deep in my soul. you can be kind, smart all of the things, but at the end of the day, when face against the strong opponent that won’t save you. 😫
Now that's proper character development. Very well written. You don't become OP just because plot armor. The risk, the effort, the desire to overcome weakness all factor into his development. At the moment he's still discovering how the whole "character lvl up" system works, what it means and how to use it to his advantage.
People saying it's bad writing why just because it has good ending. They develop Jin woo with all kinds of situation and valid reasons. If Jin woo sacrifice himself or everyone die at the end than they will say it's good writing.
👏👏👏 I definitely agree with you. It's slow paced and done right! Not rushed and it's like the audience can relate to his growth. It's a realistic desire to work hard which takes work. I fully respect the character development that was done. As a reader of the Manhwa, they done an excellent job. 👍👌
The broken sword thing at the end was the chef's kiss on this episode. It was like, "Let me throw this as hard as I can...." Then it was "Huh, I guess it wasn't as strong as I thought."
A-1 Pictures cooked an insanely well done fight with this Snake Boss vs Jinwoo 🤯 The OST and his VA performance were amazing as well! Thanks for this studio to do Solo Leveling's Anime adaptation Justice 🙏🏼😌

This episode was a freaking banger. The whole snake fight was animated so well, especially with the glowing eyes when he said he needs to get stronger. Then he freaking squeezes the boss to death and thinks "I think I've become a bit stronger" lol you think!? And that ending when Joo Hee utters his name when he was walking away after ditching the sword lmao.
Excellent point. I enjoyed the episode and the fact with how slow paced it is. Its worth the world building, excellent character development on Jinwoo, and he is a relatable character. You never know how good you are in something until you put yourself in that situation to see. Don't always doubt yourself in every obstacle. Im happy to see Jinwoo's growth. Inspired me to want to work out and get myself together. 😂👌😎
That fight... That shit blew my mind. Not only was the animation absolutely breathtaking like I was watching a movie but the struggle, the motivation behind wanting to get stronger, the VOICE ACTING, THE GODDAMN MUSIC... It was all 10/10 True, it is a power fantasy but tbh, there aren't many that do it quite like this. Jinwoo was claimed to be the weakest of them all until he got a second chance by the player system and he has every right in the world to use it. He is a good guy who only wanted to help and pay off his mother's medical bills. It makes him relatable and want to root for him. I like how we see Mr. Park supporting him in the flashback telling him to prove everyone wrong and that's exactly what he is doing. I loved his determination to keep going even when it looked impossible for him to beat that snake... And the way he did it... He bloody chocked the thing out. His hands are more powerful than a sword which is just astonishing but he is leveling up. He's probably lvl 18 maybe even 20 right now. And he's showing more confidence in himself. Take note authors, if you wanna make a serious story about an op main character... This is exactly how authors should make their characters. I just looked up the VA for Sung and his name is Taito... He hasn't really done a prominent role as a leading main character... He was Soyuz in Dr Stone and some other supporting characters but I'm loving his energy and passion to truly show how rageful and determined Sung is. I'm thrilled with how they are adapting this and so far... I have not seen people shouting MANHWA WAS BETTER ect. Maybe there are those people (better to say there is because people like to hate and manhwa art is gonna be better because the artist drew some amazing art which is part of the reason the manhwa was so popular.) A1 pictures 👏👏👏 Truly showing what a studio can do if they get the time and resources to flex and they are flexing with this and Mashle (although I got to catch up with Mashle after I finish my exams) Also yeah, glad you mentioned how Jin woo doesn't grasp how strong he is yet. He hasn't seen how broken he is yet because he thinks himself as the lowest of the low and he is slowly getting stronger in his mind but to others, he is already probably a C rank hunter at this point because he basically one shoted that golum which he ranked as a D rank. Glad to see Joohee trying to get out there but she's still not ready as those images are burned in your mind and whos wouldn't be... That statue would be haunting you in your dreams. But yeah great episode and I can't wait to see the next one 🔥🔥🔥 Great review as well Brandon
Level 2 was a big difference but he is likely multiple levels higher despite mana or other stats. Some good character moments and the action is well animated. And the B rank healer Joohee feeling traumatized is understandable considering they faced an SSS rank threat with those smiling statues. This sort of reminds me of cheat skill although I’m sure solo levelling or some other anime have been an inspiration for this type of fantasy story. Hes definitely going to reach crazy god status by the end of the story. Good thing the studio toon extra time to animate the story
Problem with cheat skill was how they delivered a lot if things I just couldn't go through it anymore at some point. I want this kind of underdog fights his way to power like this which hits so differently
I was really not expecting the episode to be that good , the snake does have more details design wise in the manhwa but seeing the fight animated was amazing, this anime will break the internet if it gets completely adapted.
Now this is where the show truly turned into an amazing show. As we see now how much stronger Jinwoo have gotten. Like at first those steel fanged wolf where giving him trouble. But then they was shown weaker then him. And I really like how his hud vision show the outline of creature for if they are weaker, equal, or stronger then him. But that snake boss was really powerful just throwing him around like a rag doll. Which after a while Jinwoo killed it by his own bare hands. Despite how it had armored skin he just was able to crush it. And I that thought that him putting all of his point in strength was the wrong call. But apparently I was wrong here as he surely has become so biffed up. As seen in the last scene after he one shot that stone golem.
The whole cliff hangers thing I think for some people is they are too use to the Netflix generation. Where everything is dumped at once and you don’t need to wait. I personally love cliff hangers, because it shows you were so engaged with a show episode you are excited for finding out what will happen. I’m actually preferring this adaptation over the manhwa, it’s not massively different but there’s more character and world building happening now that’s making it flow better for me, obviously the artwork isn’t quite at the same quality or detail but it’s close enough.
Honestly, what made me like this episode over everything else you mentionned (except the MC's rant and the flashbacks, too shonen for me) was that, for once in an anime - even more in a shonen - the boss didn't let him even a second to breathe. Most of the time, you see enemies who let the characters talk, reorganize or even think, here it was unrelenting attacks. That made the fight way more dynamic, realistic and brutal that even us, the viewers, didn't have time to swallow. Exceptionnal fight with the snake boss and even more when there is so few 3D or it has been so well blended in the artstyle. I mostly hate Shonen shows, but there I must give this studio's artists my hat. Very well done guys (and girls) !

I’m not gonna lie at first I just wanted to see him skip to God level status, but I actually really love saying him go from useless and slowly getting stronger
Man the animation and va is top peak. A1 did sl the best adaptation. I was doubtful but glad a1 did this. Mappa could have put cg thinking its just small fight n skipped contents. Hope you are excited for more and understand why sl is hyped. Its stays true to what it is giving.
Wait, if Kasaka dropped a C-rank dagger, it means that the snake was a C-rank boss as well, right? Are you telling me that in just 4 episodes the MC grew from being the weakest of E-rank to being a C-rank? I'm the only one that thinks that the progresssion is just too fast? 😅
It looks like every 5 levels is basically 1 rank, so at level 0: Rank E, level 5: Rank D, Level 10: Rank C, level 15: Rank B; so he's currently sitting at upper B-rank.

I have and it’s pretty good, the protagonist reminds me a bit about Yogiri, from my instant kill ability
@@didsva Huh, that so? I still need to check that one out.
I didn´t like the premise, but I should at least give it a chance I guess.
@@johnyshadowWell yes partly when it comes to their personality trait. Of casually thinking about how to best handle a situation. When they or rather anyone else normally should have in a fight or flight state
Loving this anime 😍
10/10 episode ❤
I’m not gonna lie at first I just wanted to see him skip to God level status, but I actually really love saying him go from useless and slowly getting stronger
Man the animation and va is top peak. A1 did sl the best adaptation. I was doubtful but glad a1 did this. Mappa could have put cg thinking its just small fight n skipped contents.
Hope you are excited for more and understand why sl is hyped. Its stays true to what it is giving.
Stop spreading misjnfo my guy
Where is CGI in jjk?
awesome mc
This ep was a banger! Dude are we getting one or two cours?
2 cours but it's split
@AHBrandonReviews nice that's better than just 1 👍🏿
Arise!
Wow
Lol and he didn’t even get his player class or job yet overpowered ha ha ha ha not yet
Wish the first season was 24 instead of 12 :(
It's a split cour

Yaaaayyyyy!!!!
... not a god among men. Something more. A Player.
When he said "It's levelin time" and leveled all over the monsters I felt that, this is truly the animest of all time
Wait, if Kasaka dropped a C-rank dagger, it means that the snake was a C-rank boss as well, right?
Are you telling me that in just 4 episodes the MC grew from being the weakest of E-rank to being a C-rank?
I'm the only one that thinks that the progresssion is just too fast? 😅
This is part of the plot in the future on why the system wants to progress him fast
It looks like every 5 levels is basically 1 rank, so at level 0: Rank E, level 5: Rank D, Level 10: Rank C, level 15: Rank B; so he's currently sitting at upper B-rank.
@@FinGeek4nowin that case calculate level above 100😂
@@souvikpal7309 It would just fall under SSS+
The higher the rank the longer it takes to level up its a huge diffrence in power from s rank hunters to a rank hunter diffrent league
This was my least favorite episode. I need more, faster. Would be better as a binge.
