Just learned about this game from watching the review by The Discriminating Gamer. Showed it to my gaming group and we all want to get it! We are just waiting for the $$$ for it and the deluxe version. Can't wait to play it.
Good job lowering map crowding and clutter. So-so job speeding up the infamously slow A&A system with simultaneous plotting of moves. Disappointed that some of the innovative features of the faster "Triumph and Tragedy" system were not adopted. Also, none of the fun "Wonder Weapons?" I'm sure there are many questionable map features such as the rail connection between India and Iran, and making gigantic India one territory.
They act just as a normal fighter in terms of dice rolled, hits taken, etc, but not much point to repair damaged ones unless wanting to avoid casualty pts. They "respawn" each round regardless of loss until mother carrier is sunk. Roller decides which type (carrier or normal) takes the hit if in the same row.
if you have "band of brothers":), you may play all time on War Room.Fantastic game i see,and good topic for guys who read Antony Beevor ,Second World War,2012...lol...and sorry for my pigin English TO!!!

God, I hate games that refuse to actually use the real flags of the nations. More so, when they use the Communist flag and not the Nazi flag. The only possible logic could be, 'Communists are good, Nazis are evil'. The only possible reason could be, 'the West are Communists'. That, or the West has the strange notion that the Communist flag is not evil, but the Nazi flag is evil. Either way, it's clearly done purely for self-censorship purposes and ought to apply equally to all 'hate symbols', not just some of them! Following this logic, why is the Japanese flag deemed acceptable given the endless evil of WWII Japan in China? But, more importantly, even if we did agree that the Nazi flag was more evil than the others and should be censored in generic cases, I cannot find a single argument for censorship in the case of historical accuracy, such as in this case -- or any other WWII game/creation. Re-written/false history is never acceptable, especially if it's not applied equally. Of course: this fake-yet-common Nazi flag is also stupid-looking and doesn't make much sense. I did see a fellow playing Silent Hunters 5, and he had the real Nazi flag in there. That was good of him. Note: I looked down the Wiki page of 'flags of Nazi Germany', and this one didn't exist. It's just the straight-armed Iron Cross put onto the Nazi flag, where the straight-armed Iron Cross actually pre-dates Nazi Germany.
agreed. Stalin killed 5 times as many innocent civilians as Hilter did but he was on our side so we will just look the other way. Hell if we had lost the war the Axis could have legitimately charged us with war crimes. the flattening and firebombing of virtually every city in germany WAS a war crime. I am not lauding anything the Nazis did I am just with you. This is meant to be a historical based game just use the damn flags and those that are offended can go watch the Sesame Street lmao.
1st rule of War Room: You can't fight in here. This is the War Room!
Played it last night for the first time with the Western MA group (on TTS). I like it a lot, once you go through a turn it gets a lot simpler.

@@Cerhob what do you think of it??
Oh man, I love it. It is a LONG game but it's engaging. Looking to find people who play it on tabletop simulator until this all blows over...
@@HistoryTeacherSteve It's so good. So good. I really enjoy it.
@@Cerhob how would you play it on tabletop simulator? wouldn't it take hours to recreate it in that?
