I don't think any of these current trending groups (with all the payola and western promo) can have this long lasting impact because SHINee doesn't just trend among fandoms but they have actual HITS that go viral among idols and the general public
I became familiar with shinee because of Taemin’s Guilty just recently . Before that I knew only few popular K-pop idols like example BTS due to their global promotion activities. Their group performance is fine but most of their solo songs are so underwhelming. Especially, jimin’s latest album songs are such disappointment because of his repetitive concept of posing and autotune and change in hairstyles!! Sorry! But on the other hand why is Taemin not globally going Hard!!! He deserves global recognition. I also find His Shinee members cool without being cringe!! K-pop idol that stands out is Taemin as a non K-pop listener.

@@lizzylouisewoo Yah it's pretty hard to find out specifics....as far as we all know he is just being treated for some medical condition that arose...not sure exactly what....they keep all that stuff pretty tight libbed, but either way just praying he feels better soon from whatever is ailing him and that we can hear his beautiful voice shortly. I'm sure he knows his fans miss him, but most importantly we want him happy and healthy.....so he can take all the time he needs...we will all still be here, encouraging him on as always. 😊

I happened to see their performance mma'23 and was impressed. i have heard of the group, but hearing and seeing this performance.. past songs are legendary, but I'm also really liked the new songs and their stage presence is so refreshing. i pretty much exclusively listen to girl groups but SHINee is the only boy group that i don't feel awkward listening to because they've been in this industry long enough to where a song with a tough guy aura like this fits them like a glove. 2:22-2:32 specifically sounds like something straight out of a beastie boys song and i love that!!
