There's literally videos of Irish people reviewing Irish accents done by foreign actors and all of them unanimously love Brad Pitt's accent in this and they laugh and say "is it weird that I can completely understand him. He sounds like people I have actually met."

You should watch Lucky Number Slevin, super underrated, with Josh Hartnett, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley, top notch cast, top notch story, top notch humor and dialogue, similar vibe to Snatch :)
Yeah this and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels have that similar feeling to them that Guy Ritchie does so well in his British Gangster movies. Both absolute classics. Boris is probably my favourite supporting character in the whole movie, especially for the hallway scene, but really everyone is just so well written, so well cast, so well played it's fucking fantastic. Fun fact: the DVD (and maybe BluRay?) version has a kinda hidden subtitle option where they only subtitle Brad Pitt's dialogue.

So I'm a bit confused why you were so caught up on making that comparison. Seems it made you miss most of the point of the film since you kept waiting for stuff you know from Oceans to happen.
The original 'Ocean's Eleven' is from 1960. Welcome to the age of remakes. If you liked Snatch, you might like 'Lucky Number Slevin' (2006). Great story, great cast, but few seem to know it.
Fantastic movie! I love Guy Ritchie flicks!! :D At one point for Mickey's speech the dvd subtitles just show "????" 😂🤣😂🤣🤣 What he says when they ask him to fight is "I'll do the fight before it causes anymore carnage." :) And if you check out episodes of "My big fat gypsy wedding", Pitt's accent is actually pretty comparable! 🤣😂🤣
The music for Ocean's 11 was done by David Holmes, who is a British DJ who was particularly well known in the 90's and 00's. He didn't do the soundtrack for Snatch but Snatch's soundtrack is very typically British, so that might be why there's a similarity.
Interesting enough Guy Ritchie wasn't sure if he wanted to create a more serious dramatic movie with Snatch or go the same route as "Lock, Stock and two Smoking Barrels" so he shot the movie in such a way he could take it in either direction. Then the final movie tone was created during the edit process.
Lot of American's only used to the clipped English upper class accent, while most of these are more like you'd hear in London depending on location. Even the attitudes aren't that far off from what we are like. IE not much need to act at all. :)
Pikey is a derogatory term for a traveller, Romani gypsy. That's where the "not Irish, not English" line tries to land, but ultimately falls flat for foreign audiences outside of Ireland and the UK. That being said, my fave reaction on this channel for a long time 🤙

Great reaction...One nitpick, the scene with the milk. Consuming dairy products after infancy IS in sync with evolution, On two separate occasions homo-sapiens evolved genes to break down lactose, once in Eurasia and once in sub-Saharan Africa. Two completely different sets of genes in each case. It is the text-book definition of convergent evolution.
I enjoyed your reaction from London, and I have just Subscribed:) The reason for that Englishman pretending to be Jewish is that in Europe, whether it be Antwerp in Belgium or Amsterdam or London's: Hatton Garden they dominate the Diamond Trade.
