if it were only that simple. Reserves are regulated by tribal Band Council headed by a chief. Most if not all Reserves receive more that adequate funding from Ottawa, as the Federal Government is responsible for aboriginal affairs. No one can start any work on a reserve without rubber stamp approval from the band. If they tried to do so, they would be run off. The reason so many reserves are in squalor Is attributed to greed and graft within their band structure. The money is there but does not go where it is needed. Imagine Government stepping in to mitigate the corruption. Now imagine an uprising.
I really like what Max has to say. When asked a question he answers it instead of talking for five minutes and you still haven't got an answer. I like black and white!
Refreshing. He does not mince words. If a value not supported by the PPC is embraced by a supporter, he says, "You are not welcome in our party if you embrace that!!" He is saying, reflect on what you really value, adjust them if necessary...realign your values...so that they are in line with ours. Then we can support you and welcome you in our party. But I do not believe he did on purpose: just the French words came naturally. How did we allow an Orwellian meaningless expression like "affirmative action" to be used in English? It is impossible to guess the meaning by simply knowing the meaning of the noun and the adjective. It roles out of our mouth despite being meaningless.

But I think that she thought that Bernier's "positive discrimination" was intentional. I am not sure it was. He is not bad in English but not perfectly bilingual. I am sick of pandering to Quebec and biculturism. I have spent many hours in Quebec and I find the people are just fine one on one, but this insistence on a minority have equal status gets my blood boiling. French is something that is largely spoken in "Old Canada". It is RARELY heard anywhere else. I think people must be able to hear the difference when Max or Laura Lynn and other PPC candidates speak as they are direct and easy to understand...not talk in circles like other politicians. They speak truth with conviction . I love listening to them

Great interview Anthony 👍 I am glad you had a chance to interview Maxime Bernier, so that you can see for yourself that he has a lot of great ideas for us Canadians. Splitting the votes is the least of the problem here in Canada. I think Bernier has some ideas that appeal to me. However I do not have the best opinion of him because he left classified information out for people to see. His ex-girlfriend hung around with bikers and got into some real problems with lobbying. We hang out with people like ourselves so that is of concern to me. I don’t want anymore corrupt politicians. To me, he broke with the Conservative party because he wants power. Scheer does come across as weaker but I know he has good values. But the one thing I do know is that we need Trudeau to go or he will destroy Canada. And Bernier has made it more difficult to do that. Just A-Thinker’s comments below also has some real merit. I love Canada and this country is being run by Ontario and Quebec. We need to have leaders from the West as well who will speak to their needs or we will lose them. Look at the pipeline which is not being built and causing great harm to the west. Trudeau spent so much money on the pipeline and has done nothing with it. Right now I am feeling anybody but Trudeau and Singh but we may have to strategically vote.

It is my understanding that when he realized that he left it behind, he retrieved it immediately and there is no saying that the girlfriend even looked at it. It was an honest mistake, yes, not ideal, but he is only human. It is also my understanding that he admitted his mistake and resigned (unlike Trudeau or Sheer would have done, blaming someone else for their mistake). If you have some time, do a your own dig on Maxime, it is very difficult to find any dirt on him.

Splitting the votes is the least of the problem here in Canada. Allowing a Prime Minister to lie to our faces on National television about Jody Wilson-Raybould is a problem and so is having five strikes against him is a problem. If we were playing a baseball game Justin Trudeau would of been gone after the third strike out? I think Bernier has some ideas that appeal to me. However I do not have the best opinion of him because he left classified information out for people to see. His ex-girlfriend hung around with bikers and got into some real problems with lobbying. We hang out with people like ourselves so that is of concern to me. I don’t want anymore corrupt politicians. To me, he broke with the Conservative party because he wants power. Scheer does come across as weaker but I know he has good values. But the one thing I do know is that we need Trudeau to go or he will destroy Canada. And Bernier has made it more difficult to do that.
Just A-Thinker’s comments below also has some real merit. I love Canada and this country is being run by Ontario and Quebec. We need to have leaders from the West as well who will speak to their needs or we will lose them. Look at the pipeline which is not being built and causing great harm to the west. Trudeau spent so much money on the pipeline and has done nothing with it. Right now I am feeling anybody but Trudeau and Singh but we may have to strategically vote.

It is my understanding that when he realized that he left it behind, he retrieved it immediately and there is no saying that the girlfriend even looked at it. It was an honest mistake, yes, not ideal, but he is only human. It is also my understanding that he admitted his mistake and resigned (unlike Trudeau or Sheer would have done, blaming someone else for their mistake). If you have some time, do a your own dig on Maxime, it is very difficult to find any dirt on him.

I will vote PPC because I can agree with most of the platform (that is about the best you're ever going to get from me with any of the parties) and I think he's the most Canadian in the traditional sense for not trying to impose the CBC Liberal Law Faculty New World Order on his party - it's the only big tent party on the docket.
