The interaction between Jamie and Eddie is well done by writers, directors, and actors. It is obvious they are in love, and they know they have to spend a good amount of their time in front of fellow officers and supervisors acting out a big lie, and always having to figure out whether what they are doing is the lie or the truth. It's like being in a barber shop, looking at the mirror in front of you, looking at the mirror on the opposite wall, looking at what's in the wall in front of you, etc.

The person who wrote the dialogue for this episode has to have grown up in NYC. Eddie says to the wild woman dressed only in a bra, "You bite me, and that will be the last solid food you will ever get to eat!"
