That was the most romantic proposal... explaining why he wants to marry her and that he doesn't want just passion but to grow old with her, UGH my heart just about grew three sizes. And Mr Lin coming to the rescue at the parents' meeting! I was so heart-warmed by that, especially after laughing at him wanting to 'talk' to Zhixiao alone after the engagement announcement but then pretty much said nothing as she did it all lol. This series is just so wholesome, I love it so much.
Her dad came through. Oh them emotions, I teared up with her. This has been such a wholesome drama. And as someone that is just as 'old fashioned' as the ML, I really appreciate him doing it the old fashion way with the proposal and all before they start living their lives as a couple. It's just been a wholesome drama and I pray for a second season.

I'm not romantic at all and I'm crying like a baby at the marriage proposal. The romantic ones must be curled up in a ball bawling their eyes out 😭 If that wasn't enough, the gracefulness Dr. Gao handles her own pain is so moving.
i'm completely blown away by this drama, especially in terms of acting. i didn't expect the acting of ALL the actors to be so good and so realistic. i haven't watched that many comtemporary chinese dramas so i can't compare how the acting is in other dramas, but i'm really impressed with this one.

I love this episode; we get a perfect proposal with all the emotions written in their faces and him giving all the reasons why he loves her ❤ As for the parents meeting... it's not difficult to guess, that her father isn't well and that he probably won't have much time left. Parents and Gu Wei not telling Zhixiao... I really hope she won't hate them or be disappointed for long, once she finds out.
