Sigmond is Richards last name. That may not be the correct spelling of his name but I believe it is. Richard sigmond. Yeah I often listen to his testimony of heaven. I bought the audiobook on cd and it really brings great joy and love of the lord to me. I always feel stored to worship God and be alone with Jesus the father and the Holy Spirit. You're absolutely right. As the Bible teaches, tongues is a sign for the unbeliever coming into the church. In our private life, it's for building ourselves up on our most holy faith.

thanks everyone, yes i've accepted jesus as my lord and saviour. many people at church have prayed for me to get the baptism of the holy spirit, but yet i don't hear God nor speak in tongues, nor fall on the spirit. it's so dissapointing, but i don't want to fake it when i'm in church. i just don't feel or see the manifestation of the holy spirit like the rest of the congregation does. thank you all, and God bless.

Oh Byron I do understand your frustration. Tongues usually comes through practice. Find yourself a prayer closet and go in. Just start praying and then start by simple sounds. Let your mind go and head down to your spirit. Tongues grow just as a baby learns to talk. Keep up this prayer life and you will be speaking in tongues in no time! God bless you!

God bless you Vance! I have only started keeping Sabbath last few months(been Christian 37 yrs); my research shows me it is Saturday. I dont blve in the 7th Day Advtst teachings (they are up the creek about who Jesus is & they cancelled hell from their beliefs,) but they are right on abt the Sabbath being Saturday. I listened to some excellent vids by a big Italian guy on YT who taught (& some others.)All the best my friend, my heart goes out to you trying to keep both days holy! Hope it helps.

Intimacy with God can be achieved by spending more time with Him, communing with Him, worshipping Him in tears, showing Him our Thanksgiving for what He had done. The more we are immerse in to His God's goodness, the more we become like Him. We will start to hate offending Him by not sinning. But still even if one sins, God's mercy is abundant. The more we worship Him in Spirit and Truth, the more the Holy Spirit will lead us true. Law is the opposite of the Spirit-led life.
True Hope, I commented because of God's love to us and through the prompting of the Holy Spirit. You are brother in Christ and my comment is not about hostility but what I want point out is this... we are not to fulfill the law, Jesus already fulfilled the law for us. The moment we became Christians we died to the power of the law. We are now slave to righteousness as we are led by the Holy Spirit that dwells in us.
There were 613 Commandments and Jesus kept them all. I am righteous through jesus.

I agree. True tongues is NOT mumbo jumbo. I prayed in tongues for a couple in our congregation one Wednesday night. The next Wednesday night the husband said his wife asked him what he thought about me praying in the strange language they never heard before. He said he didn't know what she was talking about because he heard every word I said and understood it. Another lady sitting next to me asked me what they were talking about because she heard me too that night, speaking English.

the laws are written on our hearts and retained there if we remain pure and let the word wash us regularly. the law reminds us of God's heart and what pleases Him. If we read the word we become aware of who God is, what He requires and that He never changes. We are being taught a watered down version og God, not who He really is. He never changes.

The same reason we need teaching on mercy and faith etc., which Jesus told the Pharisees to teach. Even tho they're in our heart, we need the written Word to guide us and/or confirm it.

yes, eventhough i sin almost on a daily base, i keep Jesus as my priority in life. i want to serve him better, but honestly i get dissapointed with christianity alot of times up to the point that i believe that everyone is "selective christian" but i just want to hear feom the lord himself and follow what he tells me and not follow any false prophets.
To be honest I dont know how the hang we got fighting, becoz I love the Lord Jesus too.As I know u do.I am devoted to Him.I believe the Law is good but that no one can keep it the way God desires, that is from the heart.It just happens that we DO fulfill His Law by deem of the New Nature when filled with the Holy Spirit.And the Holy Spirit brings us into the relationship that Adam & Eve lost in Eden before the Fall."MY Beloved is mine & I am His."God richly bless u Dante in yr labor for Him.x
GOD lead me to observe sabbath contrary to rest of my family. It is a must do to get close with JESUS. JESUS will bless you in unprecedented ways as you take this step of faith, and your spiritual life will grow as you show your loyalty to GOD vs the rest of the world. JESUS bless you all :)
The Holy Spirit HAS written the law of God on our hearts but we have a free will to ignore it. The Holy Spirit indwelling doesn't make the Christian sinless but He empowers us to be victorious over sin when we allow Him to be our Helper. Without the Holy Spirit we can do nothing that pleases God.
Speaking in Tongues is only one of the many gifts of the Holy Spirit. The greatest miracle is salvation which you already received. Praise be To God! Do not be confused, intimacy with God is only attained by your continuous worship of God. Read the Bible more and more and spend more time in worship. Focus on Jesus not the law. Christian walk is a journey, daily follow Jesus and you will be grow in the Lord.

Deep revelation on the commandments, I've been enlightened
Problem is that in the past we have NEVER known how to appropriate intimacy with Jesus Christ.
Psalms 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that has gone out of my lips.
In case anyone reading says that 'we are only saved by what Jesus did on the Cross' (sigh) Of COURSE-we all KNOW that, but the way to ENTER into that salvation is whats being discussed. ("the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead.)We identify with His death by repentance (die to self) & His burial by baptism (Romans 6:4) & His Resurrection by receiving the Holy Spirit. Worshipping God on Sunday is not the sin referred to in the verse. Don't be deceived or a deceiver.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1)"
The requirement is to walk in the Spirit every day instead of judging other believers, from the flesh.
"One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind." (Romans 14:5)
then you believe wrong .. shame you dont love grace as you have called yourself. I dont believe that homosexuality is any longer a sin. When gays marry and they divorce then they commit sin of adultery covenant breaking etc. When a gay who was once previously married to another marrys other they are committing adultery and breaking oath of covenant . these principles stand they are spiritual laws.
As a Christian, why think about keeping the law when God has already written it in our hearts?

We do not have to focus on the law, everything in the law was summed up by Jesus by one word: Love. As you worship God and meditate the Word daily and live a Spirit-filled Life and how we treasure God's tremendous love for us that He gave His only Son, we will produce good fruits of love and righteousness. And if we ever sin, God's Holy Spirit will convict us and lead us to repentance.

When, according to Jeremiah 31:33, G-d said "I will put My Law in their minds and write it on their hearts", both G-d and Jeremiah were referring to the "Torah", not only to the Ten Commandments, but I am not sure whether they are all applicable nowadays.
Baptism is an act of righteousness but not necessary for salvation. Yes, the Holy Spirit will lead us to acts of righteousness. We are saved by repenting from our sins, believing in the Lord Jesus Christ that He died on the cross on our behalf and rose again from the dead and accepting Him as Lord and Savior. Making Him Lord means making Him Lord every microsecond of your life. The Holy Spirit is the seal of our salvation until we die or until He returns.

there is only 2 laws in the New Testament - Love God and your neighbor..If one is Loving God one would not serve satan, if one is Loving ones neighbor one would not covet, kill steal etc
My opinion is those who hear a tongue in their own language means they have the interpretation of the tongue. I told the two people who heard me in English, "Congratulations, you have the gift of interpretation of tongues." because that is the only thing that makes sense. Me and my husband WERE the only two people in the church who pray in tongues. It's not taught in our non-denominational church, but recently another lady received the gift of tongues.
April Dunn Are you saying that when someone speaks in tongues and another hears it in their own language, the one speaking may not be speaking in their language; but the hearer is hearing it in their own language? They have heard the interpretation. I never seen it that way before; it makes sense.
Christians need to be filled and led by the Holy Spirit. Christians have the thirst and hunger for God's words and live a life worthy of God to please Him not to give their attention to the law, do this, do not do this. Jesus fulfilled the law, died on the cross and rose back from the dead to give us His righteousness to all who believe. We all fall short, all of us are lawbreakers. God sees Jesus in Christians and we become temple of the Holy Spirit.
This teaching is presenting GRACE + LAW = INTIMACY WITH God.
To all: Read the whole book of Romans and whole book of Galatians. If you can find this truth. In the last days there will be so many false teachers. They will abound. Use your time reading the scripture and investigate yourself.
And you WILL pray in tongues when filled: I Cor.14:5, Mark:16:17, Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44, Acts 19:6 etc. This baptism in the Holy Ghost is greater in measure than the measure God gives with which to draw us to Christ. Ask Jesus for this baptism, He says to pray for it in Luke 11:13.
Will you get intimacy from God by being so focus of the law? Will you ever please God by fulfilling the law? Jesus is the only one who can please God. God is please when Jesus' righteousness is within us, when He sees Jesus in us because we believe. Jesus did not leave us orphans, he did not say read and follow the ten commandments so you may have intimacy. Jesus said I am giving you the Comforter. He will lead you. The only commandment He emphasize is Love.
Another possibility is that of where "tongues r given 4 a sign." Usually for unsaved pple tho-they get a msage in their own language. Perhaps this couple needed to believe tho, in tongues,so God let them know thru that experience? OR, perhaps God is trying to get them to seek Him for the baptism in the Holy Ghost (which is always evidenced in tongues.) Anyway, it's good. Cathy Kowero keep "7" days by being led by the holy spirit. the focus should not be on the day but on God. my experience is: God said remember to keep the Sabbath day holy. He also said thou shall not kill, lie, steal, commit adultery, we must love..etc.
when I was convicted and became born again all sinful nature has left my body...i naturally don't sin physically but sometimes our thoughts get in our way; therefore Philippians 4:8 said we must renew our mind and think of positive things but even so, I had to ask God to help me renew my mind and think of good things. it doesn't happen all the time, so I try to live a repentitive lifestyle. so to answer your question the same way I don't sin because the nature is not there is the same way I don't reserved one day of holiness but all 7 days are holy and prayerful. I've been to Saturday, Sunday Monday Wednesday Friday church and I don't feel any different or guilt but if I say something out of place or think something out of place I guarantee you I get a strong unction from the holy spirit. I remembered once I was telling my friend my understanding about a scripture and I literally felt the anointment/Grace left me and my explanation became a struggle. not to look and sound stupid I quit by saying " you know what, let me revised this again"...a true born again will testify to this...not everyone who goes to church is a born again...for them it's a culture
That's cool! Now, I say this for others-if you were making this up you would have said, "Oh they said I said thus and thus." You'd have come up with something spiritual-sounding. But you didn't, therefore pple shd realize you're telling the truth. Speaking in tongues edifies ones spirit Paul says in I Cor 14:4-it is separate from the GIFT of tongues which is used to edify the church (with interpretat'n.) I asked and they said they didn't pay attention because they didn't know I wasn't speaking in English. One of them didn't find out I wasn't speaking English for several hours and for the other it was a full week. I would love to know though.

We are no longer under the law. Abraham was justified by God through faith and the ten commandments were not given to men yet. God promised Abraham of a Seed from himself. Gal 3:19-20 Why,then,was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator. 20 A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.
A believer never says, they are not relevant, what they always mean is not to be hypocrite like those give importance to days then understand meaning of Sabbath and make a rule while keeping Sabbath.
Jesus Christ has explained about ten commandments very clearly like adultery, you don't need commitment directly but just to think in heart.
So this difference Lord has meant when he summarised the commandments.
MANY PEOPLE HAVE IDOLS. ANYONE OR ANYTHING, THAT ANYONE, PUTS BEFORE "GOD", OBEYS OVER GOD, IS THEIR IDOL, SAYS THE LORD.
What about the law regarding the Sabbath?
Jesus said to keep the commandments becoz they were still under the Law in the Gospels (Mark 1:44 & Luke-where Mary made turtledove sacrifice etc.) There cd be NO new covenant until Jesus had died for us ( Hebrews 9:17) & all 4 Gospels END on His death & resurr'n.HOWEVER He expects us to keep them even MORE fully once we're filled with His Spirit, coz then they are "etched" on our heart as Jeremiah & Ezekiel prophesied. Being filled w HG. enables one to keep the Law from the heart-no struggle.
whoever lives by the law dies by the law. the law cant save u. it only shows ur sin and ur need for a Savior. u CANT save urself. only the blood of Jesus can save u. if u break 1 command, ur guilty of breaking the whole law. we have faith in the blood of Jesus Christ to make us right with God and to save us from hell

@SidRith'sIt'sSupernatural! Early this morning as I was still asleep I heard what sounded like wedding bells that ring on a day of a wedding. I was confused because I did not see anything and even though I went to Messianic service for a year a few years ago I never saw a Messianic wedding. Could this be a warning about the devil or do Jewish weddings have bells that ring too?
