Not sure if units can self rally if leader in hex unless leader did another action. Rally isn't mandated unless commissar (Japanese in SK)
You said the german squad that picked up the machine gun can't do anything else this turn. Do you mean it can't do anything else in that rally phase?
Yes, that's what I meant. Units can only do one action in the rally phase.
