- I decided to sell my Magic collection to a nice new hobby store over here in Minnesota called Lodestone Coffee and Games. I had a great time playing magic, I kept some of my decks in case I want to play again, but I converted the cards to CASH MONEY SON. This video is really pretty pointless but I bet some people care.

You should do a video on your decks.
Alex that is awesome.
Lodestone represent!! My buddies and I used to play what we dubbed B.D.B. (Burn Deck Battles) which was the 4 of us all playing fast burn decks. Getting to 8 or so life was the "danger zone" because anyone might just burn you out at any time! The stack got really muddy when it was an all out burn :) Good times; then a few of us got competitive and play modern/legacy. Just as fun as the casual days but more stress.
Good haul on that too! How's the adoption process coming? We just welcomed a baby girl less than a month ago and its been so great. Good luck on all that process.
Man I can't stop watching these you should do some rants.
2500? Wow, good job! Never got into Magic. I did have a YuGiOh collection, albeit a small one. My situation was exactly how you described it Axel. Someone once stole half my deck in Middle School, someone stole just a single card in High School, and then later I just stopped.
I made a tribal giant deck, not that good but really fun!
I never really liked Giants, but that is awesome
I'm mostly casual myself, I go to drafts a few times a month, and I'm planning to get into a Modern tournament soon. I don't follow the meta though so I'm not certain on how well I'll do, but I built a deck that I've been working on for the past year based on Notion Thief. It's still a work in progress but I'm almost done. Here it is if you're curious. tappedout.net/mtg-decks/jace-the-mind-thief/
Hmm love notion thief. This deck looks sweet.
What are your current favorite board games?
I kickstarter David Sirlin's Codex, which honestly was a big spark to sell my collection. This game kinda replaced it for me.
The game I play the most is Coup, which seemingly everyone has and loves so no surprise there. But I have over 300 games logged.
Otherwise, this abstract strategy space game called Quantum is my other favorite. it's just so awesome and varied.
Honorable mentions: Merchants and Marauders, Tokaido, and Sheriff of Nottingham.
Where is the best place to get them appraised?
I would NOT be interested in watching a deck walkthrough.
Was an iceage & 4th edition collect back in the day. Bout 1 to 2 lunch box worth of cards. haven't looked at it for over a decade, any interest?
/ How do I go about selling them, no hobby stores in the area for an appraisal. (Sydney)
Put up an add on craigslist and see if there is anyone in your area eager to scope it out and buy it from you.
Alex Krasny thanks for the suggestions & vid. It never occurred to me that my mtg could be worth a decent amount.
Wheres the best place to get them appraised?
Call ahead to some hobby stores and ask if they are willing to appraise and buy your collection. Ask several stores to get a 2nd and possibly 3rd opinion.
Did you sell any mana?
Interesting to hear about your decks, I'm not really into Magic but it sounds like it could be pretty cool. But your video title is so bad. Like the clickbait garbage that BuzzFeed vomits out. I sincerely hope you just gave that title as a joke, and you're just trolling. Giving a video a title like that and being serious about it does not sound like you, it sounds like those trash websites that you hate whose articles have no substance.
I mean... that was kind of a joke.
I just learned one simple trick that hobby stores DON'T want you to know about...
Doctors HATE him...
