I really see Mike as gay. We saw how he's attracted to fellow boys, not just Will through subtext and looks (his reaction to Eddie vs Dustin's, his reaction to lingerie shop vs men's sauna in S3, etc) and he's averse to girls (his insecurity of having no “girl” crushes in S1, his aversion to Max in contrast to Dustin and Lucas' attraction to her in S2, his gay awakening at the end of S3 while El's kissing him in front of an open closet, etc).
Because if he's Bisexual, we couldn't really see his active attraction to girls (through subtexts and looks) in general, which is why some fans dubbed him as El-sexual-which I hate. Because his queerness was shown to be the *lack* of attraction to opposite sex. I'd say Mike is straight-passing gay.

I 100% agree that by this point we’ve seen that Mike is probably attracted to boys and to Will in particular. Where I disagree is with the idea we’ve never seen mike’s attraction to girls. I feel like it really all boils down to whether or not you think his attraction to El was genuine and I can’t get past the idea that the show has framed Mike looking at/interacting with El and Will in very similar ways over the years. I think we’re meant to draw comparisons there. A lot of the “mike is grossed out by girls” theories I’ve seen just aren’t convincing to me. just for example, in Mike’s exaggerated reaction to the lingerie shop, well I think it’s honestly just being played for humour (young boys being overwhelmed by a symbol of female sexuality) and I can’t think of a single 13 year old boy (gay, straight, etc.) who WOULDN’T have a similar panicked reaction lol. in fact we actually see Lucas react the same way as Mike (and they all end up running away in a panic) but we know by this point that Lucas likes girls. is the idea here that if Mike were straight he would’ve been smiling and giggling looking at lingerie? that doesn’t read as a realistic 13 year old reaction to me at all lol. and again, I don’t see a difference in Lucas’ reaction here vs. Mike’s.
I also acknowledge that I could be totally wrong about all of this. if Mike ends up gay I will literally cheer and I’ll look forward to having to reevaluate my reading of the show lol. end of the day this is just my opinion.

Honestly... I've seen all your videos on Will and Mike's ship and now I can only hope lol ;) My theory since the very beginning of ST is that Eleven MUST die. And it's justified and it's a fact that's not just stated, it's proposed many times (she never belongs, can only go upside down etc). So, for me, her relationship with Mike can't last forever. And it is treated separately from the others in S4. For me, she will close the passages by sealing herself off in the upside down world to ensure that it stays closed forever. So Mike is "free"! And Will, unlike Eleven, has always been with him... Thank you for all you do. I believe in this hope! Kisses

@@fileventhings4455 This is a fact. However the ending was written from the beginning of ST, and Will's sexuality was already questioned. I don't know if Byler will end but one thing is certain: Will, to become strong, to become a full-fledged character, with his problems and his evolutions, has to assume himself, entirely and with everyone (which questions the acceptance of his close ones). So, Mileven was indeed developed, but I find that we arrive at a point where it passes or it breaks. Nancy and Steve have also evolved. We'll see... I have full confidence in the Duffer Brothers as to their work and a good, poignant, heartbreaking and/or happy, sweet ending.

Yeah but Byler has been slowly building up since season 1. Robin wasn't even a character until season 3 ( plus her love interest is Vicki who was introduced in season 4 and will come back for season 5 ).. And Nancy has always been between Steve and Jonathan since season 1 ( but officially with Jonathan ).
