You're searching for your mind don't know where to start Can't find the key to fit the lock on your heart You think you know but you are never quite sure Your soul is ill but you will not find a cure yeah Your world was made for you by someone above But you chose evil ways instead of love You made me master of the world where you exist The soul I took from you was not even missed yeah Lord of this world Evil possessor Lord of this world He's your confessor now You think you're innocent you've nothing to fear You don't know me you say, but isn't it clear? You turn to me in all your worldly greed and pride But will you turn to me when it's your turn to die, yeah
I was going to comment “Na man, it’s supposed to be played *slooowww*”, but yeah, you’re actually right. 1.25x speed its sound like the perfect live version.
Back in the day, Ozzy used a Leslie cab. (it is unmistakable on Planet Caravans). This is probably the digital version ( things weighed a ton!). BTW, JP Jones gets THAT bass sound on Heartbreaker by using a Leslie cab. I even blew harp through one a couple times!
probably some kinda chorus or effects pedal of sorts. Al Cisneros always had some sorta booster or distortion effect on his vocals back in the early days of Sleep too. Nowadays he just has a bit of reverb.
To some it will be regardless of what other covers they listen to. Respectfully, your taste doesn’t define what’s good, if you like it, you like it. If you don’t, you don’t. There’s nothing wrong with thinking this is the best cover, because music is entirely subjective.
One of my favorite bands covering one of my favorite bands

This is a real treat, thank you Pale Emperor
Bow to thee, I mustnt. Commend I shall.
So slow. So sludgy. So stoned.
People acting like the tempo of the song being shifted down a little is bad. Shit makes it sound way heavier and more defined
Epic
Nothing better than Weed Metal bands covering Black Sabbath
I like the description. "I do not own shit!"

sleep is the only love.
And dragonaut was born.
Playing it at 1.25x speed is smooth.

@@TheBomber15 Sometimes it be as what you think it shan't be, but it be.
It hurts that there are actually people out there who think this is the original
There is? I always thought to know sleep you’d have to know sabbath
Yeah pretty sure if you know sleep you know Sabbath
Literally nobody has ever thought that you jabroni.
jesus christ your profile pic and name just fucked with me so hard
I had the picture before and use it on other accounts
odibex I showed a couple of old heads (60-75 year olds) Sleep and they fell in love with From Beyond. Then I really blew their minds with Dopesmoker

The sound quality is way better than their original version. Did you boost the treble?

@meetontheledge1380 It does sound a lot like a Leslie now that you mention it

For those of you thinking this is the best cover of this song give acid bath’s cover a listen.

Nope, this is still the better cover
How to destroy a masterpiece!
Nah, this is better than the original.
